30-40 or maby as low as 20 before its starting upwards again is my prediction =)

Ok with the 30-40, except I don't think it's gonna go back up soon.

Alt crypto-currencies are doubly affected by BTC price. If BTC crashes, they indirectly crash in $ because their values are relative to it, but because people also lose confidence in cryptocurrencies in general, their exchange rate with BTC is also greatly affected.
So they are penalized two times.
And make it three times for LTC depending alt coins like SXC.

At the opposite, if BTC's tendency reverses in the next weeks/months, DOGE, as any other alt coins to be fair, will double profit from it.

The only other way for it to rise, would be to have it getting a lot harder to mine : rarity increases, so does its price.
But with already 12-13 GH/s Network Hashrate make it 15-16GH/s, when Litecoin isn't even at 100 GH/s, there's not a lot of room for improvement.

What is Dogecoin?  I can't do anything but assume this is just a joke...lol.  But yet I see constant bids on ebay for them.  Can you guys please do a easy general break down.  And who is investing in this here...compared to BTC and LTC why should I setup with Dogecoins?  Thanks!

1. Massive community, and loads of publicity
2. Show real signs of growth (one of the only cryptos to have increased over the fall in bitcoin)
3. Way more 'fun' to use
4. Cheap at the moment so great time to join in.

I could go on but I have dinner now haha..

Ok so how do you setup on mining for it?  Where is the ability to purchase and is it looking better then Litecoin?

how many confirmations do I need for a 1M deposit to cryptsy?

I"m on 209 confirmations, but it's still stuck as "pending" Sad(
Got 260 after almost 4 hours.
Theyve basically shafted anyone with a large amount and pushed us to the back of the queue. lame twats!

and still have not went through?
nope not a coin.
I sent 1 million first off. and then 2 hours later sent 10k. Both appeared in my pending list with the exact same timestamp. The first 1mil i sent i literally did within 10seconds of it going live trying to get in first...just nuts!

tbh it doesnt really matter i wouldnt be selling anywhere near the price these guys are now. I just dont get it...they got lucky, mined these coins at a nice easy rate and are selling them for nothing thinking 'well if i made .1 btc in a day thats great'. I swear its like they havent seen any of the other alt coins...not 1 has really seen any kind of a down turn in the past month despite the recent massive price drops.

when i finally get my coins on there im targetting .00005 - .00008 i think. That should be about 3 - 5 cents each @$600 BTC. Maybe aiming a little high but fuck it. Im IN FOR TEH WIN when the chinese come come running with all the BTC they failed to off load at a decent price :p

.00005 - .00008 would create DOGEcoin similar market capitalization, as Litecoin has at the moment.

It would be great, no doubt.. but I'd be +- happy with 200-300 satoshis Tongue (=0.000002-3BTc)

www.gooddoge.com pool update

hey guys!
I believe I have identified the problem with the gooddoge.com pool

The first thing to know is that *everyone* who has mined with gooddoge.com will get their earned DOGEs!

It looks like some of the cron jobs on the back end werent running properly.  They are running now and are restoring things to (hopefully) normal Cheesy

I am keeping a close eye on things, however, and if I dont see DOGEs being credited to people's accounts in a timely fashion I will begin manually paying out to folks from my own wallet just to make sure noone who mined with me gets a bad deal here.  This was entirely my fault.

Registration remains closed for new miners until I can declare the problem completely resolved.

If you mined with me and still dont see any DOGE in your account in the next hour, please send me a message with your username and I'll make sure to take care of you (that said, even if you dont send me a message, I will make sure you are taken care of).

Rookie question:
I am not a miner, and I am curious how miners determine the minimum price for a coin they mine. I realize that lots of different solo setups and pools make for great variability, but I'm just trying to get a sense for how the coin price correlates (or doesn't) with mining expenses.

I'm sure this question has been addressed many times on other forums, so if you don't want to waste your breath, point me in the right direction. Thanks.

They don't, they can only speculate. Eventually the free market sets the price

Be careful on http://www.doge.cryptopool.it

I wanted to withdraw my coins about 5 days ago, still don't get my coins. Pool owner didn't answer on questions via contact form (asked him 3 times how long it will take to get manual payment etc.) ordinary italian goat fucker.

i heard it also takes ages to withdraw from cryptsy  Huh
Not really.  I've done some small trades and never had a problem getting the BTC out.  In fact only took about 5-10 minutes.
