a small rally isn't out of the picture but a big rally is unlikely.  A few months ago a big rally is easier because there aren't as many coins out there, but now with the amount of coins out there, every single sat rise means the market cap will rise quite a bit more than when back in feb.

I know a 51% attack on dogecoin is not likely to happen. It's just that I wanted to point out some facts. As of the price, there's only one way up there.

Obviously there is only one way up, and there is also only one way down.

stop worrying about 51% attack and start worrying about price.  why would a multipool attack a coin it's mining and thereby making it worthless when everyone flees?

Doge's hashrate is at 60% of what it was before the last halvening; which is quite comforting if we consider that the price is at 40% of what it was and miners are paid half of what they had before.

Is it time to stop the fear of 51% attacks?

The hashrate droping makes it easier for someone to attack the netwok. I don't know how accurate https://dogechain.info is, but it's stats show that the major multipools have the biggest hashrate. This doesn't seem reassuring to me at all.

Yes it dropped, but considering the price drop and the block reward halving, the hashrate should be at 25% of what it is right now.
45gh/s is a strong hashrate, and since GAW and Zeus are shipping boatloads of very efficient miners (who would be profitable even after the halvings and even if the coin's value drops), I don't expect our hashrate to ever be much lower than now.

I disagree, coins should never be stored in a centrally controlled wallet.

Great news: https://my.dogechain.info/ has released a public beta of a online wallet which, like blockchain.info, is actually safe to use because it does not store one's private keys.

In their words: "One of the key features of our online wallet is that we DON'T have access to people's coins (unlike previous wallet services out there). In fact, we don't even store coins on our servers. We are merely a service that acts as a storage platform for your wallet.
When you create an online wallet, your browser will do so client-side and send the encrypted wallet to our servers. These wallets can only be decrypted using your password. This is essentially the same model as blockchain.info is using."

A "partial Doge wrap" probably saves big bucks and still gets some really valuable exposure.
Great news...DOGE NASCAR rolls on.

Dogecoin is in my book called Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative".  Here is first draft of IFC:

Dogecoin will look similar to this.  Coin specifications, history, exchanges and other miscellaneous details will be included.  Please help fund the publication of this book which I plan to publish this summer.
