scrypt asics only help with power reduction, not overall performance than what a gpu card/rig can do.. Prices nearly match for that amount of kh's anyway. So overall if you want scrypt asics all its benefiting is power reduction.
what about space savings, and cooling savings too?? even hardware saving if you just keep adding hubs and usb sticks, vs. motherboards, psus, cpus memory and expensive GPUs..I'll be really surprised if we see more than a few functional scrypt asics in the wild this year. fast-pool seems ok and the hashrate/difficulty for DOGECOIN is climbing....while litecoin's is going down....

Don't worry too much.
The impact of scrypt ASIC will be much much less on DOGE, than the SHA-256 ASIC had on Bitcoin.
GPU's will still be a good choice to mine scrypt. The only real advantage of the scrypt ASIC with current chip technology available will be power reduction.
For many scrypt miners is electricity less than ~5% of the revenue.
