is there currently any roadmap development ongoing? hurts seeing price gets smashed on coinexchange;)
Right now, the dev is in the process of a name change and after that then the project can move forward so a roadmap and developments will hopefully come. Almost all Altcoins are getting smashed right now and staking coins are hitting hit the hardest so this was to be expected. I'm sure that once the 2 Bitcoin forks are over that the prices of Alts will start to go back up again.

Boat (BOAT) could be even better for the long term! (and is simplistic)
To my opnion that's the first priority before the coding updates...
After that, namechange campaigning can also start:

I am also for the simple and effective Boat name this is how this coin/project is identified over crypto. I also think we need to focus on a good marketing strategy too, for the start Twitter and Bitcointalk signature is ok, maybe a gleam.io giveaway will be good. Indeed let's set the sail!

I'm curious what you, OBAViJEST, think about this talk of a name change. I think BOAT is the million dollar ticker symbol, and since the exchanges see us as this, won't they require paying them again, etc.?

I am just curious? Obviously after the name change, there is a need to download a new wallet that has the new name, since today's wallet still has the name Doubloon. How, once the change is complete, can we transfer the coins from old name wallet to new name wallet?
Open the current wallet, unlock it, go to File and backup the wallet than go to Help, Debug Window, go to the console tab, type: dumpprivkey yourWALLETaddressHERE and save itthan to import it to the new one you would go back to the console and use: importwallet
Unless the dev makes it easier to import.

i think you misunderstand, i'm merely talking cooperation in the naming of our various projects and that's in everyone's best interest, best to avoid confusions so you're traders don't trade ours by accident....etc etc
it already appears most your crew be in favor of your coin changing its name slightly....which would work for everyone.

The namechange that was requested months ago apparently is still necessary, personally I don't mind a namechange, it's a matter of being decisive.
I am able to put a lot of energy and effort in this project to help the dev. The namechange needs to be implemented first.
The ticker would stay BOAT, I suggested:
- Treasure (BOAT)
- Sail (BOAT)
And others within the community:
- Boat (BOAT) by Ethereuming
- Galleon (BOAT) by Kiddo
- Booty (BOAT) by Blackmint
Perhaps a poll?

i'm part of the team reviving Doubloons DBL (the original Doubloons), not against you guys at BOAT i think we all can work together and whats best for all communities is to avoid confusion
curious as to what dev wrote the above, don't think it was us at Dbl and hoping there isn't a 3rd Doubloons coin

I'd like to know why the developer, who also has plenty of money from RAIN, won't bother to get this listed elsewhere. I'm not going to fund exchanges for this coin knowing he has deep pockets from his other project. At this point I'm starting to feel like BOAT is just an afterthought.
Well Boat was the devs first project and RAIN came afterwards, I think the dev wasn't expecting RAIN to take off like it did and now RAIN most likely takes up all of his time. I do like to see Boat listed on Cryptopia and yes the dev should have the funds to at least get Boat listed on more exchanges because there was a huge pre-mine which now should cover the costs for listing on other exchanges.
I read a lot of speculations about a 'pre-mine', I can be clear about this. A pre-mine doesn't have to mean anything yet until you sell it. And if you analyse the sellings of BOAT lately, the last weeks and the amount being mined then it seems plausible that the largest percentage could be sold by them, the miners.
So the assumption that the dev must have enough funds to pay for example for Cryptopia, where the entrance fee is currently 7.5+ BTC BTC - $34.800 that is perhaps not even correct...
The new website is basically finalized and I'm waiting for an update and confirmation of the dev.
When the website URL+block explorer is updated at Coinmarketcap I'm starting a promo campaign to boost attention and let the market cap grow steadily in the upcoming months.
True however when Boat hit its peak not long ago the dev could of sold some of the premine coins and paid to get listed on Cryptopia as back then it was a lot cheaper then it is now. I even posted on here saying this but not sure if the dev did it or not. That is the whole idea of the premine as the dev even states this in the OP. Now it seems that it might be too late with Cryptopia as the listing fee is way too high and in my opinion is too much as the BTC will be better spent trying for Bittrex or other big exchanges. The good thing is Boat is already listed on Coinexchange which is now starting to be a big player in the exchanges as one of the biggest with daily volume, I believe even more then Cryptopia now.
Indeed coinexchange.io is better than cryptopia, also have more daily volume. The problem of BOAT is not the exchanges, 2-3 exchanges are enough. I know few coins like XRB, BIS who didn't have exchanges for months/years. The problem is the lack of vision, involvement and developement of the project. I don't want to fud I'm a miner and a holder of this, but i don't see any activity in here from the dev. No marketing. No new feature. What is the purpose of this coin in the end? Maybe the dev can find some people and start making a team. He is only one guy running 2 projects.
As far as we know. I think there may be less devs than what we think. Many of these dev accounts go missing after launching the coin. It may be there are a few organized business groups that launch some of these coins in an anonymous way.

I've been busy with RAIN and future prospects, which led to BOAT being pushed back (sadly). If there is enough community support, we can totally re-vamp the wallet and come up with a future plan. Definitely in need of updating for sure...Great to see you again dev, I think there is enough community support now with this coin the re-vamp the coin. I'm all for keeping the name as Boat as well so that is my vote. We should have a poll set up for this name change as the quicker it is done the quicker we can move on with other things. I see there is a big announcement with RAIN so hopefully once you have finished working on RAIN dev, more attention will be shown to Boat.
