I'm working out some bugs that were found yesterday thanks to all of you! So the node is going to be ahead of your protocol version or turned off, I'll let you know after when the next version is ready  Smiley

Awesome news! Wish I was able to buy more coins right now.

Try reading the title of the thread.

This is a pre-alpha -- i.e. the testing phase of said tech... If you can't read then spare us and troll elsewhere.

DATABLOCKCHAIN.IO SALE IS LIVE | MVP @ DBC.IO
Ok, I have yet another problem.

I start the wallet, let it sync, all is well.

I close the wallet, save the conf file in the .darkcoin file, then reopen the wallet.

Now the wallet says it's 3 weeks behind and won't sync!

If I delete the .darkcoin file contents except the conf file, I still have it 3 weeks behind and not able to sync.

Perhaps, when it does sync, it syncs with the real wallet???

I also tried just deleting the testnet folder, and no joy there either Sad

I found it easier to just give necessary arguments in command line to avoid confusion:

./darkcoin-qt -testnet -debug -addnode=23.22.165.148

It looks like it uses the default .darkcoin datadir, so I just backed up my real datadir and started with empty one. Tried to force it to use different directory with -datadir= option, but this did not work, no idea why.

Could you please tell me where to put the config file?  Should I just name it darkcoin.config ?  Also, I started mining, and it was  hooking up to the real darkcoin mining.  Same block number, same difficulty, I assume the config file fixes that?

Ubuntu running locally in a folder on my desktop

Oh, it's ok, I found it in my home folder Smiley

I'm in the midst of fixing some bugs, so the node's protocol version is ahead of most of you. It won't work till I release again (maybe in the morning)

Please redownload the qt client if you would like to continue testing, it should be more stable

I know everyone is probably asleep right now, but I'm hoping someone can help.  I rebooted my ubuntu and I still cant apt-get anything.  I noticed this yesterday or something, I'd do a "sudo apt-get update" and there would be no output, just:

Reading package lists... Done

and very quickly, so I doubt it really did anything.  When ever I try to apt-get install anything, it tells me it can't find the repositories.  Has anyone ever had such a problem?  I can't imagine how I broke this!  Ugh!

Thanks for any help Smiley

Try checking your /etc/apt/sources.list file and see if it has the standard repos in it.
