Anarchy is not chaos.
From what I've seen so far, I don't think the quick bubble means much. Unless the dev's just walk away from the coin, of course.

They seem more focused on making this one go mainstream. Dunno if they can pull it off, but if they do, then this will be a "I was there when" moment, rather than any kind of predictor.

I've been saying this with bitcoin, as well. It's making some strides. But what a coin really needs to get out of the "niche" category is the ability to be traded at Walmart. Whatever you think of them. If I could go in with my android app to Wally World and buy groceries, I would. So would a whole lot of people. If that happens, the value of the coin will skyrocket, and exchanges will be a niche market like they are now with fiat.

The future of cryptocurrency depends on day to day transactional ability. Bitcoin is about the best for that right now, because it has massive publicity. But it also has a LONG transaction time. It takes seconds to swipe a debit card or hand over some cash. We need that kind of utility in order for crypto to become mainstream. The dev's of this coin seem to understand that, and be working towards it. If they can do it, and market it, they win. And so does anyone holding this coin.

I like the name, I like the dev's so far, and I like the approach. I'm behind this to the extent that I can be. I'm behind bitcoin for similar reasons and it's (relative) stability vs. other coins. Most alt coins, if not all, are simply vehicles to acquire more BTC. At best. They are a hobby and nothing more, and will remain such until the above conditions are met. The coin that pulls that off, wins. Let's make it EAC.

I knew I liked something about the cut of your jib.  You have a brain.

Thanks! I'd like to think so.

I've been speaking with an associate of mine about ventures that would certainly change EAC in the way that you've illustrated.  As we pin things down, I'll keep the community updated.

At the moment I'm dead broke, and for the next week my only income is my 80 GH/s BTC mining. But in the not too distant future, I would be very interested in getting involved in that, depending on what it is.

Yes, I agree it's good to have an image and to not let that image box you into a niche.

Also agree that the crypto that cracks the usability code....quick transactions, that your average guy can use to buy a cup of coffee.......will rival bitcoin.   Being able to gift someone EACs which they can then spend in shops like a book token, or iTunes voucher, will hasten it's uptake amongst those who have never heard of Cryptos.

I also think that the minute by minute watching of a coin's value will drive you loopy!  If you find you are refreshing your browser every minute...then walk away from the keyboard and get some fresh air!

I really don't get those who have animosity towards other coins - DOGE got a lot of publicity and is good to mine, LOT is also good to mine, EAC has quick transactions and strong community etc etc etc  I think the sooner people start seeing everyone as part of the Alt-community and not in-fighting so much, the better for all coins.

Also, I do want to say, for everyone who is just watching the price fall: it might be more helpful to try and think of ways that you can promote EAC and reverse that trend rather than just sitting there and doing nothing.  Keep in mind that investors WANT the price to decrease so that they can buy low and sell high.  If you have little faith in the product, market manipulation will feed off of your fear and will make you its bitch.
