Noone said we expect to be millionaires. But everyday the coin price goes down further. We are almost below 200 now. Without some serious life support from cryptsy in the very near future, this coin is going to die. Your goals should be to get cryptsy to notice it, maybe by bribing big vern with some eac. Otherwise you are not going to be able to save noah's ark of animals, nor feed all the starving people of the earth, nor plug the ozone hole, nor plant new rains forests in the australian outback.
YOU NEED a price increase to do all that and you need miners who want to mine this thing, that will take an increase in this coins price. Sorry, I realize the core group of people around eac do not care about profit or price, but if that is true why did you not take a more direct route to save the earth and just raise usd to do it? The miners who want to mine EAC are already mining EAC. Naturally, more miners will switch over as the popularity of EAC grows. The popularity of EAC grows as exposure increases. Good exposure is based on how solid of a foundation the product is standing on before attracting more attention. Things like having a functional wallet (PC/Mac/Linux with Android and iOS on the way), great promotion, great community, incorporation into systems serving as conversion mediums (ex. Noone said we expect to be millionaires. But everyday the coin price goes down further. We are almost below 200 now. Without some serious life support from cryptsy in the very near future, this coin is going to die. Your goals should be to get cryptsy to notice it, maybe by bribing big vern with some eac. Otherwise you are not going to be able to save noah's ark of animals, nor feed all the starving people of the earth, nor plug the ozone hole, nor plant new rains forests in the australian outback.
YOU NEED a price increase to do all that and you need miners who want to mine this thing, that will take an increase in this coins price. Sorry, I realize the core group of people around eac do not care about profit or price, but if that is true why did you not take a more direct route to save the earth and just raise usd to do it? The miners who want to mine EAC are already mining EAC. Naturally, more miners will switch over as the popularity of EAC grows. The popularity of EAC grows as exposure increases. Good exposure is based on how solid of a foundation the product is standing on before attracting more attention. Things like having a functional wallet (PC/Mac/Linux with Android and iOS on the way), great promotion, great community, incorporation into systems serving as conversion mediums (ex. CoinPayments), charity work. Note that I've named things that EAC has already done.
So seriously, respectfully do us all a favor: unless you're going to provide constructive criticism, shut the hell up. I never said to pay the bills, i said to pay for the electricity to mine it. None of these coins start out life any different than the next one, they just have different names and devs and maybe some other small change. When you first start mining a new coin you hope it will be a winner. If it looks like a loser you dump it and move on to another coin which is profitable. Like the big multipools do, they are in it for profit. I don't know of any sane miner who doesn't plan/care on even making back his electricity costs. After a couple of weeks of mining a coin and it looks like the consensus is that we are fine with being a nonprofitable coin and didn't want it listed on cryptsy at the start and don't really care now, that is worrisome, because there are toooo many new coins coming on everyday. The attention span in this crypto world is short, if you don't stay out front you will be run over. Eac should have had one goal, right from the start, be successful and get the hell on a big exchange asap, not let's hang back in the shadows and grow carrots.

So don't mine it then. There are lots of people with free or cheap power who don't think it's a waste and don't expect unrealistic profits from a brand new coin. If you are a miner and paying for power, then you shouldn't be mining any new coins. That's just insane.
