No more guesses please, limit of 30 has been reached

Seems to be a little fractious in here this morning, so how about a contest? I know everyone is waiting for the Cryptsy launch, including the devs who I believe said that it was needed in order to move the Android app forward, so let's see who can guess how soon "Soon" really is.

The rules:

- Limit of 1 guess per person, and 30 guesses only in total since we don't want a repeat of the "Happy New Year, I promise not to gamble" nonsense.

- The deciding date / time of the announcement will be the timestamp of the post on the BigVern Twitter account, taken in Eastern U.S. time (NY City time), that announces the EAC market is open on Cryptsy.

- Guesses must include the date in mm/dd/yyyy format, and the time in 24H format e.g. 1/16/2014 at 15:37. (Edit for clarification): if you do not post a time zone, I will assume EST since that is the time zone that the contest will be decided on. If you do post a time zone, I will translate it into EST in the list of guesses so that everyone can see what has been taken already.

- In the event of a date tie, the winner will be the closest guess to the actual time of the announcement without regard to guessing over / under.

- Guesses from users who are on my ignore list will not count. That really only rules out anyone whose username loosely rhymes with "A Mantis Cat Born" or "Bored Pillow".

- The prize is 11,999.70837084 EAC which will be sent to the winning poster's chosen wallet address.

this coin is just about 2 weeks old and you want to have a million into your pocket ?? get a grip and wait...........eventely it will rise !!

You should take some time and study the market. EAC has positive progress, more than the average alt. If it gets some exposure for its 'good deeds' from Keiser or some other financial 'genius' you will get your boost. Of course, earthcoin could dump his stash and crash the market as well. I expect a lower price point near term unless something extraordinary happens.

I wouldn't expect any major upward movement for some time. Let's see what happens when the market is flooded with 5x the normal output.

People need to get a grip, the coin is only WEEKS old.

Dude, it released on December 20th. Are you serious? Like what do you expect it to go from a forum to real life in 20 days?

so if eac is a global powerhouse heading up all the green earth projects, and eac is famous all over the globe then why are we still in the low 200's?  what next, funding ozone layer repair  using eac? cooling the atmosphere to lower al global warming? nothing is to fanciful, haven't seen any of it in play though. I hope a coin which is changing the global way of life actually connects to the price of the damn coin.

@USD-e where do you see a trend towards 400? @ coinex it is hovering around 250..

Dunno really.. I'll give week of mining's worth so they can dump it for $10 on the nearest exchange. 

Maybe if we put a side very small amount in the hopes it will be worth a lot of $$$ later on and only then they can dump it.

We would be humbled to somehow find synergies between our communities to build value for the future. With the acceptance of man kinds first sustainable deflationary currency which can maintain a store of value through decentralization, we feel very strongly that this can be achieved - deflation itself creates value quite the opposite to inflation.  Spreading the information about the concept will be your biggest obstacle. Insurance tables begin not to work, all forms of insurance and "guarantees", loans, the entire system in which we base our perception of value begins to crumble because it is based on debt.

To actually push mankind into the next millenia, there is no doubt among adopters of the EarthCoin and many others, that the only way to do so, is to naturally create value instead of destroy it through the deflationary, self policing, self regulating, decentralized mechanism. We do not know what it will be called, we hope it is EarthCoin, but we do know it will be the underlying technology that finally brings people from all parts of the globe together in a common framework of value and understanding.

The ultimate goal at the end of the road map will be to have all goods and services accepted and paid for in EarthCoins, eventually there will be no need to convert to paper money. Some of you who have begin this practice already are pioneers!

Yesterday, I had a meeting with the Western-Region-Contact-Person from EGEA (European Geography Association for students and young geographers).

Egea-Congresses contains lectures of sustainability and to sum up, nearly all problems connected to the humans or the earth.
Since I also was a participant, I can tell that hundreds or thousands of students in Europe in dozens of entities (http://www.egea.eu/entity) meet and discuss geographical things.

This whole generation of new scientists and geographers is highly educated and looking forward to work for a better future.(wow that sounds artificial)

EGEA is connected to the european union and is able to get extern sponsoring and partnerships.

My idea is either to sponsor EGEA, because not all students have money to participate when it comes to congresses or exchanges, or to implement a Donation-Button on EGEA's new Website.
In my city there is also a entity and I was asked to hold a lecture about earthcoin and its foundation.

Today evening I will meet one of their financial-delegates, to discuss if it is possible to implement Earthcoin in any way.
