Hey guys quick mining question - I started mining for a couple hours however when I stopped, the fans haven't shut off since. Is this normal? It sounds and looks like it's still running at full speed, however I shut down my miners. Anyone else experience this?

This is something I've noticed with cgminer when you have it handling the fans. If you quit out of the program it may not send whatever command is necessary to relinquish control of the fans, so they will stay at whatever speed they were at when you closed it.

Try opening cgminer again and then closing it within a few seconds, should kick the fans right back down.

I am mining at middlecoin with some of my rigs and I am pretty sure it isn't EAC we are mining.

Pools have dried up the past hour.....seems like no one is finding blocks regularly....wonder if the huge spikes in hash is a giant solominer?
I hope it's not middlecoin mining it.

DIFF into the mid 80's now....over 6Gh/s on the network...getting harder to get that EAC!!

Sure bet on this coin. Funny all these hyped up coins all push to get to exchanges right away. A good chunk of the stable sure coins that are on the big boy exchanges all took their time to get there... if the coin is worthwhile why rush it? To me this means its gonna be more than a pump and dump scam, and will be of value down the road.

Like they say, good things come to those who wait.

Is the blockchain explorer down?  Anyone noticing any issues with transactions?

Just sent a transaction to test, seems to be working completely normal.

Mine just posted a well, it took 30+ minutes to post between wallets.  Don't know what that was all about.

Hmm...that is strange.
I'll try a few more transactions tonight, see if issues pop up or if it was isolated.

I've been testing ever since the first one posted, seems to be working fine for now.  I noted the status of the initial transaction as it shifted from "unconfirmed" to "offline", but I never saw anything on the other side reflecting that the transaction was awaiting confirmation.  I also couldn't find it in the blockchain.

Hmm, that's interesting. I noticed a similar thing with a few transactions yesterday when I was sending some small amounts to test out my game.

I have two transactions reporting status "0/unconfirmed". It seemed to happen when I tried to send those before the client was synced and then it was never able to broadcast them after the sync completed.

PS. I love your pools as much as the next miner but god damn that spam drives me nuts. There is already a list of pools in the first post where newcomers will surely find them.

Sorry :/  Unfortunately it works and my guys want the pool to build up a bit more so I'm trying to do my duty to my loyal miners.  I've already cut it down quite a bit.  Plus, there are broken pools in that list, example #2, doesn't even work and is in maintenance mode.  The first pool talks about throwing the entire pool away because of hard drive failure, etc, etc.  It's a bit confusing to cut through the red tape for the newbies.

So lets take a serious look at the prospects of Earthcoin.  In order for this coin to survive and not be Dogefied, you guys need to let the market build.  A simple pump and dump will just ruin the future of this coin, and in fact, there is a bright future.  At least Earthcoin has a name like Worldcoin, and that speaks volumes.  If the developers and such take a good stands, develop a foundation to support and market this coin, I believe this coin can rival Litecoin at some point.

One look at the Worldcoin ANN, and you can see what people can do when they come together.  Worldcoin is one the most professionally marketed and put together coin out there in the alt coin market.  I'm hoping that Earthcoin can/will do the same.

But in order for that to happen plans need to be made now so that people have confidence in the coin just past a simple pump and dump.  If there is hope for the future and plans for the coin, then people will hold on to the coins and let the market mature.  Let's all be honest, there was no future for DOGE coin, even though that it introduced a lot of Reddit and 4Chan people in to the mining industry, which is great because it created a medium that was fun and profitable for a lot of new folks.

So, Mr Earthcoin, what do you say?  Are you willing to take on the responsibility of running a foundation for this coin?  I'm sure a lot of miners and pool operators would donate to the cause if we felt the operation of the foundation was sound and there was a framework put in place to support it going in to the future.

If you do not have the experience necessary in order to take on such a project, I'm sure there would be some people that have experience with such projects and would be willing to develop the framework going forward.

At first, it doesn't have to be a "take-over-the-world" framework.  But maybe just a few ads on Reddit or or Facebook.  Something to get people involved with the branding of the coin.  My second suggestion would be to move the logo away from the Internet Explorer symbol reference (even though it is a very well designed logo.)

So who's with me?  Does any of this sound like a good plan to move forward?  We've had way too many unsupported pump and dump coins, it'd finally be nice to get one we can all put our trust in going forward.

Earthcoin dev/team is already doing a lot, take a look at some of the posts he has made, for example this one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4306701

Hy guys. I know this sucks but I had 40k EAC and I lost all because my HD stopped working. I just not lost EAC but other coins too, EAC was the most important, the others I didn't give that attention. I know you'll say that I should backup my wallet, but I'm a human learning by the worst way possible!
So if you can donate any amount to me. I'd be very happy and grateful.

Thank you!

There are ways to recover stuff from a HDD.  If it's a mechanical problem (and a disk drive, rather than an SSD), pop it in the freezer, sometimes the expansion of the ball bearings gets it to move again (google this).  Also, there are HDD recovery tools that work pretty well.  Good luck!

Thank you for replying me.
Actually it's was 2 SSD on RAID0 and one stopped working. I tried to recover from the one that left, but the wallet wasn't there.
