Greetings Evergreen, Nice to see some green on such a red day. Whatever you're doing keep doing it. Cheers!

It has sparked an interest in me aswell, could someone explain, how is this coin growing in value?

All I have to say here is:

Be careful if one chooses to "invest" in something with unreasonably high returns, that has affiliate commissions, and locks up your funds for a period of time.

History, if you look at it, has taught us many lessons.

Wishing you guys (CryptoClone) well, but let's see what time has to tell.

Yep.. im not even touching that with a 500 foot pole.

Same here - somebody tried a similar 'scheme' a few months ago and as expected - it fell completely flat. Remember the golden rule - If it seems too good to be true it usually is...

Price is looking good over the last 24 hours.

How many times would i need to have my wallet open for all the coins to stake?
Is there a minimum? Or for most coins staked would i need to have it open always?

Thanks.

You should stake for at least 12 hours every 30 days for your entire 7% annual to be guaranteed. But, staking does help the network so, I kindly ask, stake as often as you can.

There is no minimum number of coins to stake.

If you stake more often, you will collect smaller instalments more frequently. Stake less often, larger instalments but less frequently. Either way, it will equal 7% annual.

Thank you for your interest!

Thanks, i already have  EGC coins and iim still buying more,  even more now i know how the staking works, price of this coin is very very low.

Its very hard to buy this coin tho, nobody selling into my buy walls.

EverGreenCoin will soon be added to the Android app CoinFolio.

Quote
CoinFolio is an easy to use cryptocurrency portfolio app, that lets you monitor your favourite altcoins.
You can add the amount and cost of several coins to your portfolio to see the actual increase or decrease of your portfolios value.

Be reminded, we are already included in the similar Cryptonator app.

EDIT: we are also already in the Blockfolio app. Sorry, I forgot to mention.

Looking forward to giving this a go next week then.

Oh, you must have got your audio equipment setup like you mentioned last week. Glad to hear!

Again, sorry to have cancelled today, especially with short notice.

I look forward to our next meeting also. Hopefully, everyone's schedules allow for a productive one.

Is there a working block explorer?

http://transactions.evergreencoin.org

Which is presently redirected to http://108.76.201.244:3001/

Sorry for the service interruptions as we move things around a bit.

EDIT: redirected, not resolved, I should have said. Corrected.

The last block was from a year and a half ago.

Edit: nevermind, it's working if I search for something, only the main page is stuck.

Yes, it is indexing still. This can take many hours for the data to be stored in the database. Unfortunately, sometimes the process needs to be restarted also. It is actively being worked on but, as you have found, you can still pull the information directly from the daemon via the search field. The front-end is trying to catch up still.

EDIT: Some resources were freed on the vps to allow for faster indexing. Sorry it has been so slow and it should be catching up much faster now.
EDIT 2: It is still being worked on. Unfortunately, we may need to switch provider again.
EDIT 3: New VPS working much faster. Sorry for the delays.
EDIT 4: Moving it. Again. Sorry for the continued delay.

This is not about EGC (or any coin in general) - it is about what we are going to do with POSW and POSWallet.com

Once we have completed the transition, we may look at adding coins again

Please remove any EverGreenCoin from PoSwallet.com before June 12th.

They (PoSwallet) have always seemed to be fair in regard to their dealings from my experiences with them.
We will be losing a resource though, with the web wallet they had no longer being there.

Maybe it's time to acquire/make our own?

My suggestion:
Crowdsource our own webwallet.
Add some fees in there to help cover the costs of maintaining it.
Possibly a percentage of the stake, or transfer fees since EGC does need to take care of itself too, in order to accommodate others and green projects.

There is an active dev here, that we shouldn't expect to do everything, so we could at least cover the cost of making something like this happen if it fits in his plans.

One of the biggest hurdles to newcomers I see is the extra work in downloading a client, then doing the synchronizing.
With an official web wallet, somebody could have access to their EGC immediately, then do the wait/experience the learning curve, at their convenience.

Agreed.

I envision a system by which users of EverGreenCoin.org will have a wallet generated upon account creation. These wallets would be group staked, with the foundation coins and via solar power, and pay interest installments monthly to each individual. Like archaic banking systems take money from you on a given day of the month? Yes, I want to do the opposite and remove the elusiveness of when the next installment might occur or its amount. Users wouldn't even need to hear the words "proof of stake" nor understand it. I honestly want to deliver this with no fees and I think it can be done with certain restrictions like transactions to 'external' wallets. This system could even do 'intra' wallet transactions with no transaction fees. So, absolutely zero fees to, for example, purchase something in the marketplace or support a green project's crowdfund. I find it hard to find space for the word "fee" in "cultivate and nurture". I will make every effort to remove it.

This has always been a goal. It was even previously roadmapped before priorities needed to shift largely due, but not exclusively, to network issues of the past. For that, I apologize. But I think anyone would understand the circumstances, certainly if they spoke to me.

We can discuss where it might fit into future plans and everything it would take at this weekend's meeting. I am adding it to the itinerary now and I will get notes on the topic in order for that meeting.
