It would seem this week starts for me in the unfortunate way of having to relay an undesirable message I just received from Coinify to the EverGreenCoin community.

Hello Steven

We are currently not interested in adding Evergreencoin but will keep an eye on it in the future.

Thanks!
Lasse

At least they are now aware of EverGreenCoin and we have hopefully planted the seed for future addition. Of course, we will continue to pursue other payment processing gateways in the meantime.

They probably need some more development (solar staker). Any ETA for the upcoming website?

Should be before the end of the month on the new website.

Well, I think it's just a matter of time; they perceive Evergreencoin as something new and also they only accept 17 digital currencies, simply they are reluctant to include any "new" coin. I don't know very much about the topic but, how about www.coinpayments.net or any alternatives? is ipaydna a valid option or do they use just bitcoin?. Also, this attracted my attention: is this gourl woocommerce wordpress plugin something EGC could get involved in?
Don't worry and keep up the good work.

Hi,
Got some EGC in my Evergreen wallet. When does staking take place? How soon will I see any interest? Do I need to keep the wallet open? How often does it take place. Keep up the good work.

Hi and welcome to EverGreenCoin!

Staking of your coins will start 24 hours after full confirmation. Full confirmation will take 7 blocks, which translates to a few minutes.

You will see the frequency of installments based on your weight. Weight has many factors but, the largest is coin age and the number of coins you have. Regardless of your weight, it will always total 7% annual.

You do not NEED to keep the wallet open. But if you do, you will see more frequent installments, but smaller in individual amount. At minimal, leave it open for 12 hours once every 30 days, but more often is recommended.

I hope I have answered your questions completely, and once again, welcome!

So it appears I got my first stake, I saw it come in, it was listed under recent transactions on the overview tab and Stake and then about 10 seconds later it disappeared. I do see it in the transactions tab. The type is Mined and the amount has brackets around it and there's a "?" in the far left column. Can someone explain whats going on here? Do I need to do anything? Sorry for being such a noob, just trying to understand. Thanks!
Sometimes someone else gets the reward and you get a so called orphan, presented with a question mark. Nothing to worry about though. It happens to everybody from time to time.
Mining rewards also takes more confirms before they can be used.

Yes, as Gizfreak pointed out, sometimes you submit a PoS block to the network at near the same time someone else does. One gets accepted by the network first, thus invalidating the other that is then rejected by the network. It is normal and no cause for alarm. You did not lose anything, your next reward will compensate for the time and be a larger amount.

As Kazadar mentions, yes newly generated and accepted by the network EverGreenCoin need to mature 60 blocks.

No need to apologize. Staking is actually quite the complicated process, especially the deeper the understanding you seek. Your questions are very welcome and I hope they have been answered completely.

Thanks everyone! Just as you said, another transaction showed up a short time later with a slightly higher amount. After confirmation the amount was added to my total. My first stake, very exciting!

When the pump will come?

It would seem you have overlooked some zeros*...

If you seek an answer on pumps, you will have to wait for a response from someone that pumps. If you wish to gain knowledge of current public development plans, let me cite a post from a few days ago:

...

But yes, we do have much good news in the immediate pipeline: New website, android wallet, we hope polo very soon, payment processing gateways (with this volume, they can't say no), a custom payment system thanks to ChainWorks Industries (a project I and EGC are proud to be with Crysx on. MUCH bigger news forthcoming on that front), more sponsorship (most of which are not public yet, some of which might knock your socks off), we have some advertising (coinmarketcap and others) we are waiting on the new website and banners to pull the trigger on, incorporation or non-profit forming of EverGreenCoin, we are getting ready to launch campaigns for addition to other exchanges (details soon, I want to stay focused on Polo, please persist with the tweets and retweets everyone).

...

I hope that helps. I understand the thread is growing by pages daily and may be hard for new comers, for which there is a surge of, to recap current events. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask. But sorry, I am unable to provide you insight to any pump/dump strategies. I hear there are groups you can join for those strategies but, not my area of focus or expertise by any measure. I purposely keep distant from that aspect of the industry and keep my head down and working to build the EverGreenCoin ecosystem. That is the only 'price manipulation' I care to take part in.

When the pump will come?
If you are looking for a permanent price increase, I think we have to wait until we get some more news.
I am guessing one of the next things to come would be a Polo listing or a payment gateway.

The cannabis festival might give a temporary increase, but until we get a payment gateway for them to use I dont think it will stick. It will increase awareness but for it to have everyday use we need the payment gateway.

But who knows, maybe Steve got something up his sleeve we havent heard of yet.

CCex is not delisting EverGreenCoin. I speak to the admin often and he loves EverGreenCoin and is very supportive. Please do not spread such false allegations.

You can also use the web wallet here:
https://poswallet.com/

This is great! I think dev should write this on topic if its important (it was to me Cheesy).

I will update the OP. Its on my to-do list.

EDIT: Done.

Is it safe to use poswalet?
You will pretty much always be safer if you hold your coins your self. But I havent heard anything bad about Poswallet.

Websites that usually hold a large amount of coins, be it online wallets, exchanges, ect., are an attractive target to hackers. For this reason they are exposed to far greater risks than your own wallet might be.

Services like PoSWallet do go through great measures to keep assets safe. I too have never heard of anything bad of PoSWallet nor any compromise to their security. I do believe their service is reputable.

The big advantage to using PoSWallet is your coins are actively being staked 24 hours a day without you having to leave your computer on 24 hours a day. Also, they are grouped with others' EverGreenCoin so they have collectively more weight, thus increasing the reward frequency. But the annual rate remains 7%.

If you wish to stake in your own wallet and on your own computer, please exercise common sense on what other software you install, make backups of your EverGreenCoin wallet, and do encrypt your wallet. You will have to unlock the wallet after encryption before staking will take place, but the added security of encryption, and with a long pasword, is strongly advised.
