The wallet is very slow to sync as the network is too small to have many connections.

The coin will live on. I am stopping my PERSONAL development on the coin.  I will update my pool site with that information.  As for any assumptions that I "quick-profit-taking and pumping and dumping" how can you Dump a coin that hasn't even made it to an exchange. Nor has anyone bought or sold a single coin?  I still have my original 85 million coins. My other dev still has his original 85 million coins. the other 20 millionish coins went toward bounties and logo design.  I will personally be giving my side of the pre-mined coins over to the new developer who can then do as they wish with them.

My assumption that you were not committed to this coin is that you did not have appropriate back-up and disaster plans in place for your server... maybe I am being too harsh... but for me... it takes real money to pay for mining equipment and the power to run it... also that all the data for major EAC pool server was lost as well in this crash makes me wonder about the commitment of the HackShard pool team... enough concern that I am no longer mining on any HackShard pool for any coin... on all levels this is a bothersome situation.

Appealing to the community for help and admitting you were in over your head would have rallied the community behind you and I would have been willing to stick it out to see this coin through to smoother waters... letting the community knew that your were actively looking for someone else to take over the release of this coin... very acceptable, even commendable... but just quitting because it all got too hard... unacceptable.

I know nothing about the nuts and bolts of developing and releasing a coin... but I have been involved in enough releases as a miner to know that it is a lot of hard work and sleepless hours... not sure why you were expecting anything less.

I Do admit. NO I didn't have a really good backup system in place. The reason for this is simple. I just couldn't afford the hardware required to make live SQL backups.  My EarthCoin US pool is running just fine and will remain running until the end.  I will be shutting down all hackshard officially on 1/27/2014.  After that. the final pool will be shutdown as well.

http://volt.bitember.com/ we updated the configuration to reflect the latest changes made to this coin.

Now you only need 60 Confirms to get your coins in your final balance.

Enjoy  Smiley

 STOP panic
guys net difficulty 2,39 now ,but we have only 1allive pool with 20mh rate only ( so 1 block finding time 15-20min)

for confirm 1 block need mine 60 blocks more (now mined 4855 blocks its mean that confirmed 4795 blocks and all who was mining block 7995 now get confirmed coins)

For confirming our mined coins :
1)Need go to allive pool and give some hashrate.  http://ele.valid-error.com/
2)or need Wait 100+blocks and diff will be 0.5.  With 0.5 diff 60 blocks will be generated much faster)

Sry for my not-super Enlish, but i hope i help to understood the situation Smiley

That is great... there is one pool holding all the hashrate for VOLT... but tell me why I should mine a coin that the developer has cancelled?

I have 2.6M sitting my wallet from 24hours of mining at 9Mh/s... and the developer has cancelled the coin.

I was mining VOLT to support the HackShard team since they were going to be bringing SPUD to the public which I was very interested in. But now I am not so sure...

Why has not the developer, Devianttwo, updated the original post with the information about the hard drive crash and cancellation of the coin... why did we have to find out by someone posting a link to http://eac.us.hackshard.com/index.php... why has the developer not responded to any of the comments or questions on this thread... this wreaks of quick-profit-taking and pumping and dumping.

At the very least, the developer could have had the courtesy to update the original post with the details. Even the HackShard team has not responded with anything more than "http://ele.valid-error.com/ IS STILL ONLINE".

This is simply unacceptable.

And why should we mine a coin that the developer is cancelling?

I suppose that I will keep my VOLTs as reminder not to mine unproven coins with uncommitted developers.

I did not "Throw in the towel"  I lost every drop of data off my server machine. No way to recover it. No way to get it back.  I have been under so much stress for 2 weeks from this coin release and from everything else that I am literally about to lose my mind.  This is just to big of a project for Me to run basically by myself.
