You're right. We put a lot of energy into Mintpat voting. But our community is enthousast. It goos very slow and we need to do to reach us 2M ENRG. I think it is good to consider us. The exchanges that you mentioned are also okay for me at the moment.
On twitter I 'm following now more enrergy and I go promote EnergyCoin more.

Perhaps to save funds we lower the reward to 50 or 25 per ENRG vote
I want to donate but then for 25 ENRG per vote. If someone donate than double the same amount whether we opt for a lower pay.
We have 10000 votes or more necessary but not sufficient funds to pay yet
The 100k ENRG donation that I am planning to give is for 2500 votes.

I disagree. A mintpal vote with BTC costs X30 times more than 100enrg, so unless you wish for our only voters to leave you better keep the bounty higher not lower.
