i am taking a bit of rest this weekend, (after theree weeks of dont stop...)

but only to remember; this monday begins the crowdfunding campaign to buy faircoins and save it (this will be a combination of donation and personal savings). By this way people that dont have acces to buy bitcoins and after faircoins, will be able to get faircoins from euro/dollar etc...)

meanwhile, now is a good buying opportuny if you want to enter in...

I apologise from now, but I just remembered I still held some Faircoin from way back when it was launched - and promptly forgot about it until I opened up an old rig today.

If someone can sum up for me a good reason to keep hold of what I have, that would be great.
I had planned on simply selling it, but given a strong reason to keep it, then I'd be happy to reconsider.

Thanks in advance Smiley

How many FAIR do you have?

I had close to 60k, but I decided after reading / watching everything that I'd change my FAIR into BTC for the time being, but keep an eye on here to re-buy at a later point.
2014-09-20 07:49:16   SELL   0.00001200   33144.90976703   0.39773891
2014-09-20 07:49:15   SELL   0.00001225   25963.09023297   0.31804785
These were my sells, and looking at the buy orders now, I made a reasonable judgement call.

I must admit though, it's great to see what's being worked on here, and I was sorely tempted to keep them - it's just with the price going up so rapidly of late, I've learned to err on the side of caution.

I'll look back in here regularly, and thanks for everyone's help in highlighting the vision behind Faircoin. With the team you have, it's sure to go far. Smiley

While being added to Bittrex doesn't bother me at all, I don't understand why you ppl insist on it so much.
Mintpal is a great platform for trading, and I believe that after V.2 comes out it will be back to be the No.1 exchange.

I think that for the volume FAIR is experiencing right now, it is very suitable.
At least wait few days and try the new Mintpal version....

Question to dev - will there be a non-fee trading period in the end?

Try to convince everyone that got robbed @Mintpal that it is actually a great exchange.

It was best one in my opinion.

For me it WAS too.

Smart Action can you give a better reply but here I go

Visit https://www.fair.coop
1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enric_Duran Robin Bank is behind this coin with his super team
2) One of the only coins where team members are not hidden.
3) 20% of the coins are visible and will not be touched for atleast 1 Yr
4) Coin has appreciated from 80 to 1500 in matter of weeks.
5) The coop with 4K members will only use Faircoins to promote ideas and projects

Otherwise, i would add if you have missed it,

That some members of the “dark wallet” team are also involved in the fair.coop
two of them are prominent bitcoin developers:

Pablo Martin, the senior developer in Dark wallet  (multisignature, anonymous, ) and one of the man behind dark market proof of concept (after forked by open baazar). He is the lead developer of Coop wallet to be published in two weeks.
Amir Taaki, will be in the tech council and helping when its needed. (developed the first full reimplementation of the Bitcoin protocol named libbitcoin and developer of electrum wallet for bitcoin)

See more on https://fair.coop/councils/

This without forget the great work and experience  of our  core developer of faircoin official wallet, thokon00, working in all the C++  implementation that is needed.

And outside of the technical section, but social, not forget the paper of P2P foundation, and their respective network of researchers and activists all over the world, that also are on board:  https://blog.p2pfoundation.net/enric-duran-introduces-fair-coop/2014/09/18

Cheers for all the helpful links / advice guys - I'll think about my next move in the morning... one thing - the 6% interest - as my wallet's been closed (I've updated to 1.2 now), should I expect to gain interest backdated to when it was last opened, or will it be just what it mints whilst the wallet is actually open?

Oh, and is there a richlist anywhere? It would be good to see how my stash compares to others out there :-)

Wow. Did not expect something like this. Still have 5492 FAIR and will keep it till i don't know. I won't lose much if that's the wrong decision. But i could win alot if it is the right one. Thx for all the work and for still believing in FAIR.

I think the amount you kept can be for the purpose of memory.

At least something, huh? I bet you would have told me the same when the price was at 80 satoshi. And btw. as I've mediated in my posting before, I don't care. Was just checking for fun and I've never expected that it would go over 250 again. Back then it was about 6k satoshi. I had 18,000 FAC. I even gave away 5k for free.
