We won't be increasing the FairCoin supply cap, or altering anything that was introduced to its existence. We will be adding on to the original FairCoin, to make it better. An example of such an add-on could be a emailing system implemented into the wallet itself.

That sounds great. I think you are doing a nice thing for FAC community. Thanks.

And I'm good at twitter promo or marketing promo. If you guys need someone to do that, I will volunteer to do so.

We won't be creating a brand new FairCoin, but we will be modifying the old one to bring it to beyond coin expectations.

So FAC now in the exchanges are still available after you guys modified the program, right?

and the total supply of FAC will increase?

I have a question:

As we seen, Old Faircoin (Maybe I can say that) are currently exchanged on several exchanges like MintPal, and Poloniex, etc.

But if you guys develop a new Faircoin, Those old Faircoin I bought from the exchanges still exist? whether they are in the same system of old faircoin?

What are you going to do with those old faircoin?

Thanks.

Still looking for volunteers for the new FairCoin development team! Dedicated people only! Message me, or post here.

Hi everyone,

I decided to dedicate some of my time to the development and improvement of FairCoin!

I'm the lead software developer of a small development team in my company. I have been programming for over 20 years in various projects and programming languages such as C, C++ and Java. I live in the heart of Europe and I'm into cryptos for quite a while now.

Since day 1 I followed this thread and have been exited about this new Coin. I've got a view thousand FACs which I will hold for the future. I do believe in the future of this Coin.

It is very unfortunate that the OD (original developer) just dropped this Coin.

I think it's our turn now to make this Coin OURS. Let the community control it in a democratic and fair way! No lamenting and complaining anymore, this FairCoin is ours now. Period.

The future of FairCoin is in our hands now. WE design what this Coin will look like in the future.

Any way, I did a code review of parts of the source code. It seems that it's based on NovaCoin. The OD didn't even manage to replace the alert keys in the code. Now the NovaCoin developers are most likely able to send alert messages to the FairCoin network. This is admittedly not fatal but very undesirable.

I created a new repository on github. (see here: https://github.com/thokon00/faircoin.git) and performed some formatting cleanups in the README.md file. Furthermore I'll replace the alert keys pretty soon to bring this part under our control.

I would like to put a FairCoin logo in the lower left space in our wallet. I think it would be a good idea to do some branding like e. g. the dogecoin devs did in their wallets. Any logo designers around here? The community will decide which suggestion will be taken.

Please post some suggestions for logos.

We definitely need a new thread here and the OP needs to be updated, stating that the original dev abandoned this coin. Even better if we'd create a FairCoin-Forum. I realize some work is already going on here. :-) Hope the moderators will help us.

Gladimor, thank you very much for assuring your support! We need to organize now an join forces to make this a strong and trustworthy Coin.

I'd love to dedicate my skills and some of my time to this exiting project.

Enough for now: I think the FairCoin community project has started.

Best wishes
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

You would make a very fine lead Programming Manager in the FairCoin Team. I in fact got contacted by a member of the FairCoin community that has skills in graphics designing; he wishes to be a part of the development team. Some cool graphics implemented into the wallet could become a reality; but not without your professional assistance, of course!

Hello FairCoin Community!

I am one of the community managers for CinniCoin and the owner of an e-commerce store (under construction). It has come to my immediate attention that the FairCoin community has been abandoned by the head developer and the development team. What's more to add is that FairCoin was perhaps one of the most promising of currencies; widely adapted by a spread distribution, moderately low coin capacity, and an amazing and supportive community. But this has all gone to waste by the negligence of its creator. I bring forth a movement to restore FairCoin to its former glory; bring it to what it was before or even better! If the developers can't do it, then the community (which has backed the coin from the very start) will do it instead! I have watched the movement of FairCoin (value and community moral) closely over the past few weeks, and it has been most visibly depressing for all. Many investors were skunked by the sudden silence of the developers and the unfulfilled promises (new projects, big investors, etc). What high hopes we had for this coin were quickly vanquished.

I want to help revive this coin, and I am sure that many other people do too! Starting from this post, I hope we will choose the new leaders of the FairCoin community; people that will lead this coin to popularity, high value, and overall success.

First off, I would like to present myself, as an able and capable community manager with a multitude of social experiences and a usual leader in community groups. I have several years of individual marketing experience under my belt, and a knack for business. With my involvement in the development team, I will use social media, marketing techniques, and crowd projection methods to quickly spread word of FairCoin’s existence and the opportunities behind it. Also, I am certain that the FairCoin community would very much want to see more people stand up and take up the reins of community leadership! Together, we will bring FairCoin to the top.

Kindest regards,

PS: Dear FairCoin Dev, if you have been monitoring the community in silence over the past couple of weeks, now would be the best time for you to speak up.

Can you describe in more detail what you can do for Faircoin? Ideas, projects? Also would you be able to manage Faircoin besides Cinni? We need a dedicated team who are willing to work hard for the success of Faircoin.

Hello Morquor,

In order to distinguish FairCoin from all the other cryptocurrencies, we need to give it several unique traits that a select few or none other coin has. One of such was implemented by the original developer; FairCoin's genuine spread distribution method.

Examples of other things that the new development team may bring on for FairCoin is wallet technology that allows the transmittance of data (eg; pictures, messages, and videos) through the FairCoin wallet (originally thought up for CinniCoin). In addition, the creation of a FairCoin-based business and service (that only accepts FairCoin) would do well in constantly circulating FairCoin from wallet to wallet, and would give FairCoin a definite use. After an established base and a good level of popularity in the cryptocurrency community, we would have to project the coin to the world; get acceptance at well known businesses and franchises (eg; McDonalds, Starbucks, Wal-Mart). This would probably be the most difficult step, because we would have to prove to them that FairCoin can be superior to normal-day fiat currencies.

Another future project that can be implemented are FairCoin Debit Cards that can be used at any Visa, AMEX, or Mastercard terminal. How this would work is that when the cardholder swipes the card and attempts to pay for whatever products he or she is wanting to buy, the card provider would automatically deduct the equivalent value in fiat worth in FairCoins from the cardholder's wallet, sell them to an exchange, and transfer the money to the business' bank account. This is a far-off idea, which closely matches Xapo's BitCoin debit card idea, but with dedication from the FairCoin community, we can make it happen.

There are a lot of projects that can be thought up throughout the further development of FairCoin, but for now, these are the few ideas I am eager enough to put down.

Good job. I think we can make faircoin re-popular even without the dev, like bitcoin without satoshi nakamoto now.

This is great. What do you need from us?

Greetings virtualfaqs,

What I need are potential volunteers for the new FairCoin development team, as well as the upkeep of the enthusiasm that once prevailed in this thread. We will need skilled people in the field of programming to implement our foreseen project of a data-transfer (send photos, videos, messages) function into the FairCoin wallet. This will make the coin stand out from all other coins, and bring FairCoin to the top. Also, it would help greatly that we spread the news that we are returning FairCoin to its former glory, and even beyond that; with the help of a new and skilled development team and the moral support of the community.

Together, we will make FairCoin the best.

Thanks,

Original dev has abandoned the ship, this I know personally.
It's a pitty he won't come up and say it in public.

I agree the coin must be saved and find a fresh route.
This coin arrived in first place to quite a lot of users, in terms of altcoins.
Faircoin is known to the public as innovative, thanks to its distribution method,
that since its launch was adopted and improved by other coins.

A broad support from the community is much stronger than a single dev,
therefore I'm willing to help with the new social campaign.

Dev was here  3 days ago.

And he is anonymous for us afaik, so if he has or wants to abandon this, theres no reason not to tell us about.
