Let's try to diagnose what the problem is.

  • Find the transaction ID of the transaction in question.
  • Go to help, debug window, console.
  • Type in "getrawtransaction "
  • Copy the rawtx, then type "decoderawtransaction "
  • Compare it to the raw transaction on the block explorer.

Also, when you find the transaction ID, (if you don't mind sharing it) can you please post it here so we can take a look?

Thanks for the clarification!

I'm running v0.6.5.8 in a Windows 7 64bit vbox in linux. (You probably didn't need to know all of that, but sometimes specifics can help debug; especially with guest os's)

This may not be the best place to ask, but what is the recommended solution if this something like this were to happen again?
I'm not saying it will, the florin wallet seems solid, I've never had an issue before, but just in case.

Thanks again!

Every time you mine a new block when you solomine it goes to a new address which isn't visible to you on the "receive coins" pane, but the private key is actually stored in the wallet.dat file. I think this functionality stems from Satoshi's policy of anonymity. Change addresses are similar to this.

If you backed up your wallet by manually finding the private key via "dumpprivkey " you probably didn't import all of the private keys in your wallet, which may include private keys "quietly" generated for your change addresses and solo mining addresses.

Some transactions with low priority don't make it to the network for a while, I'm not exactly sure what happened in your case, but it seems things were sorted.

Be careful when you back up your wallet, there are many instances when the wallet generates new addresses which you may be unaware of.

Could you post your operating system version as well as Florincoin-qt version?

I'm hoping some one can help me out here...

I had a recent issue with my wallet.  I tried to send some coins elsewhere, and they were not getting confirmations.  24 hours later they were just sitting with no confirmations.  So I exported my private key, backed up my wallet, and restarted.

Everything looked like it was going okay, but once I was synced with the network my total coin count dropped... by quite a bit.

I started going through the block explorer (going back and forth between my old wallet and newly synced wallet) to find where things went wrong, and it seems as though every single block I solo mined shows a different random address?!

The following are just a few TransactionID's with the corresponding address according to the block explorer....

c4a5ad441ca46ce5b091565bd6a408ffb1b5f0a6c5c35c4133f9f4d9ac2bcd35 - FQocGu3n5DjJD9KGCnHPde88NzXPGmmYEF

I can keep going on but I think you get the idea. (I can also show pictures if people want visuals for what I'm seeing).
So is this a bug in the block explorer?  How can I get my solo blocks?  Am I just screwed?  Is Florin broken?

Please help
Just out of curiosity if any one else has any solo mined blocks would they be willing to look and see on the block explorer if the transID match the correct address?

Thanks for any help

[UPDATE]
So randomly after my wallet was just sitting here and everything was synced it sent my coins out.   The amount it shows being sent in the wallet transaction is not correct, but the amount for the transaction in the block explorer shows the correct amount.  I'm not really sure what's going on (and why it would randomly decide to resend the transaction I made 24 hours earlier), but at least for now it looks like the correct amount of coins are going through?

Good design  Wink

I was thinking to do anything about the below image but I'm a bit clumsy with photoshop. Would be great that anybody change the letters (IKAROLY and 1301-1342) and put FLORIN COIN.

Very nice job. Are you the first to implement this into a blockchain?
Florincoin is the first coin to implement the tx-comment field, yes.

My block explorer is the first to generate a categorized list from the parsed blockchain data.
