why do i get loads of HW errors and rejects when using sgminer and   "algorithm" : "psw",

cheers
I think this algorithm(s) are for scrypt. Use cgminer.

Quote
PayCoin will use SHA256 block hashing algorithm (like Bitcoin) and will be mined by GAW using their recent acquisition of 5 PH/s of mining hardware from Bitmain. It may be available to other miners as well. PayCoin will have an initial coin offering (ICO) consisting of several rounds disbursing up to 5.5 million coins valued between $4 and $20 each. Round 3 of the ICO has been cancelled and the timeline of the launch beyond November 24, 2014 is not clear yet.

The difficulty on this is super erratic and not matching up much with the hashpower directed at it.. Anybody have any ideas what's going on with that?

Difficulty retargeting is each block, when a block is solved fast due to high luck the diff goes way up, this is what cause the huge swings in difficulty.

understood, my issue is the difficulty seems persistently too LOW.

all i know is i was on their "official" pool with several ths and got no coins. so fuck gaw and their stupid ass coin.

It seem that a payout bug occured, they're reconciling the payout manually and it should take some time, contact GAW support if you didn't received yours.

they won't.
they have thier own forum https://hashtalk.org/ , where they delete unwanted posts...

Their forum is moderated, just like any real forum should be. Your announcement is in fact biased, because of this:
"gigantic ponzi-scheme.. but if you get in early enough, you can probably profit"

This is your personal opinion not a fact aboult XPY, so this has nothing to do with an actual [ANN].

Well, it's up to the coins owners to announce their coins launch imo.

Exactly!
