I've been solo mining GBN all night, have quite a few. I can't seem to send any to anyone though, it appears as though I'm on my own fork? how do I tell, and how do I fix this? I don't want to lose what I had mined

Then give it a minute and it should be able to sync up with the blockchain. Eventually this process will not be needed when more people adopt Gabencoin.

If the difficulty readjustment is one day and this was released last night, how is the difficulty at 4 already?
the target is 1 day. doesn't mean that it is one day. Readjusment is actually every 1440 blocks. Those blocks get mined faster when the net hash has grown since the last adjustment.
