So how does the app work you get paid per text or just per referral?

You get paid daily from the airdrop/for viewing advertising in the ad channel/ for evey referral.

You get paid More daily the more active referral you have.

But the big money will come when the userbase is going to be big enough to attract these big advertisers which will result in bigger shared revenue.

WhatsApp just released 100% end-to-end encryption including voice/mms, etc.

So, GetGems has to compete on attention economy.

I just read about a web browser, Brave I think, that pays people that enable ad viewing. Basically, it blocks the ad's on web sites and replaces it with ads from the Brave network.

good that whatsapp implemented encryption. All the terrorists will now start using that instead Smiley
I heard about brave before. Looks like its out now, but no payments yet

Whatsapp doesnt allow you to send money which getgems does, which is more powerful than encryption imo.

Airdrop depending on how much Gems you have bought on crowd sale, how many people you have invited, and usage of the app from you and people that you have invited.

How does it know how many gems I bought in the ico?

Also, it shows I don't have a referer, aren't people without referer supposed to be assigned to ICO buyrs?

GetGems reached iOS #256 US-Social Networking on Apr 4th, 2016. 6124 downloads in the last week. We're working on the next blog post which will have additional information.

The growth is exponential.

There are more and more people advertising it by inviting their friends, I can only see this pick up even more speed in the future.

But the real strengh here is when the advertisers will start jumping in, big chunks bought from the market shared back to thousands of people taking part in the revenue sharing ad channel.

I see it a bit like the mining effect, the more this coin is going to be spread ( which will happen with more and more advertisers coming in) the more the coin will take value as there will be less big chunks sold at once on the market.

I think he means, should he have the amount he bought in the crowdsale actually in his mobile wallet or does it matter if he leaves it in counterparty

You are right, I have some gemz in my counterparty account.
Should I move some of it to the mobile wallet itself to get more airdrops?

If im not wrong, no it doesnt matter if you keep them in your wallet. But they might add the feature in the future maybe to reward holders or something like that but from what I often read in the general discussion group it has no effect right now.

Thats insane numbers in Crypto world, first it was 10k per month, now 6+k per week, if this holds that would mean 24k in a month iOS only. Now if all these users get more involved with the gemz token.

Does the amount of Daily Airdrop correlate to the amount of Gemz in my mobile wallet?

Would I have a bigger amount of Daily Airdrop if I have 100K Gemz in my mobile wallet, instead of just 1000?
