This year gemz will break $1

Agree, but we need the iOS app to drop first. Smiley

For all the negativity Cryptsy gets, it's had no major hacking and is one of the only exchanges I know that is actually regulated and has a real persons name on the company, not some anonomous Chinese teenager.

Bittrex is another scam waiting to happen. Cryptsy is a far better fit. But generally I would say the more the merrier, more exchnages mean the risk to one coin is spread out.

Staggering ignorance here. I hope you are an outlier and not an example of a typical GEMZ investor.

Around here we like to argue on actual facts not personal attacks. While I admit I have had very little personal experience with Bittrex I have constantly seen its name attached to scams on this forum, I wasn't aware it had real names attached to it so that gives me more trust for the same reason I can trust Cryptsy a bit more than the average exchange. Cryptsy I have lots of experience is probably the most established exchange which has seen almost all its peers collapse over the last couple of years. Bittrex is whether you like it or not relatively a new kid on the block.

I'm guessing I own more coins than you yes. Main reason being I wouldn't touch any of the scammy pump and dumps that are on your posts. You're from Bittrex right?

got some of my withdrawals confirmed after submitting a ticket at polienex.... some not though[edit: another one completed]....and no answer to the ticket yet. @gemsteam and @gemscommunity: we should get some other altxchanges onboard just in case (for trading matters). Although I think that dex is the best alternative, realistically there should be centralized ones for the time being. What is a good one in your opinion? Bittrex?

Bittrex just started trading counterparty assets, SJCX now has a market. We should try to get GEMZ added as well

Just saw this link with a Getgems 'call-to-action' bar on it which is pretty cool. http://snip.ly/L09Y#http://www.coindesk.com/token-security-research-analyzes-blockchain-us-law/

Sniply is a simple tool that helps you drive traffic back to your own website while you share content from all across the web. With Sniply, you can add your own custom call-to-action with every page you share on social media.

What's the magic? It doesn't have to be your own website! You can even embed messages into articles from Forbes, Mashable, TechCrunch, Gizmodo, or New York Times.

Once airdrop and IOS is in place we need to use this on a decent article in WIRED etc.

My last four attempts in the last two days to withdraw gems from polienex ended with an COMPLETE: ERROR status.....  Anybody else have the same problem?

On the subject of exchanges we are down to one major one now with BTER not likely to be up and running anytime soon. I personally we need at least another major exchange. Going along with that the bigger picture is we need to get rid of centralised exchanges completely and have a user friendly way to buy Gems.

bter is exactly the reason why I want to withdraw my gems from polienex Wink We still have the counterparty DEX and should use that one for idiological reasons.
I have some gemz on poloniex and some at Koinify, for now the centralised exchanges are the most popular. Although i would like to have the option to store my them on my desktop.

Surely your GEMZ Counterparty wallet is the safest?
I wouldn't keep anything on Polinex I wouldn't be willing to lose.

For long term storage and safe keeping of your GEMZ you have the Armory Cold Storage option : http://support.counterparty.io/support/solutions/articles/5000004858-cold-storage-of-counterparty-assets-btc-using-armory - Counterwallet also has the multi-signature option which would be more convenient if you ask me but like I said before, right now I have 10.000 GEMZ stuck in one of those multi-sig addresses and no way of getting them out. Once I do I'll write up a how to and how not to store your GEMZ ;-) This is as close as you can get to "Desktop" your GEMZ are always online, just your keys don't have to be.

Good one, don't forget that Wink Will look into armory cold storage, any idea how hard it is to set up in comparison to just using the counterwallet?

Aren't counterparty and koinify both web wallet making it the same, or is counterparty web wallet more secure?

I think Koinofy is a Counterparty wallet, but ai still wouldn't have it sat there, it was only really designed as a temp wallet but that's a personal thing. I would be more concerned about Ploinex. nearly all the big exvhages have been hacked now, they are very very risky at this point.

Holding assets at exchanges is not a good idea indd, bter is pretty much done, atleast some shitcoins have bite the dust along with bter aswell. I've made a couterwallet, will transfer gemz to it soon. I think its one of the best alternative for now until the gemz/counterparty desktop wallet is out.

It almost seems as soon as one gets big enough it becomes ripe for hackers.....or possibly the owner to run off?

* Counterparty has a cold wallet, not tried it but I guess that's a serious option if security is the issue.

I'll try and get back to you.... Back : No problems, went through within a few minutes.
-- Did you contact poloniex support in regards to this?

...then it must be something on my side. I will try to solve it on my own before contacting them. Thanks for your help. edit: sent a ticket. its a weired bug. I allways get an invalid confirmation url..... I guess we should reconsider to leave our coins on the xchanges....
