I just bought 17.250 GEMS for 1 BTC, but my wallet is still empty and the site seems to be overloaded. I tried to open the link to the skypecall function, but this also didn't work.

Is this correct, or did something go wrong? I.e., will I still with a delay receive my GEMS in my wallet? I suppose

Does Koinify work for you guys? I get refused connection when I try to visit it.

I guess I'm a bit confused. Koinify reads "The proceeds from the token sale will be primarily used for continuing the development of the network infrastructure, paying for servers, paying for bandwidth, the cloud hosting infrastructure and for the development of a set of mobile apps for all leading mobile platforms."

But then it goes on to show a picture that says 70% of the Token sale goes to "Developer Compensation"

Seems there's some contradiction.

If 8,000,000 GEMS go to the developers, what is all the btc going towards? Also, do you have plans for a desktop version?

Gems public pre-sale begins on December 1st, 2014, 09:00 PST time

AIRDROP: Daily airdrop of gems - Every day, ~27,400 gems are air dropped from the Exodus Address. The ecosystem automatically distributes these gems between users according to their relative network contribution. Contribution is measured by the number of active daily users which were introduced by you to the network so far.

The contribution score for a user is calculated according to two complementary factors: (1) The total number of new, active users that the user invited during the time period. This calculation is directly related to the active-user counts (total of active users per original inviter). (2) The total number of gems that the user currently holds in his account. This means that users with large amount of gems will be rewarded more generously than users without gems.

PRESALE PERKS: Since daily airdrop rewards users who introduce other users, who is rewarded for those who come without a special invitation? Uninvited users will be attributed to random Presale buyers (this is a MAJOR bonus in our opinion). In addition, air drop share is multiplied by total gems owned. The more gems you own, the more gems you make - an advantage to those who accumulate gems first.

once the app goes LIVE for both iPhone and Android and the AirDrop starts, with so much information...it would be good to have a proper website on how one can get XGEMS. Based on what i know so far, its by:

1] inviting friends
2] activating ads [is this AirDrop?]

it would be nice to compile all the necessary information into one place. Because as of now, i have to bkmark certain articles/posts/links to refer to them.

Great insensitive to give GEMS to new user on the social network.
But as GEMS rely on counterparty, users with zero bitcoin are simply unable to move their real GEMS...
I heard the idea of giving bitcoin dust along the GEMS, will it be factual?

I heard a rumor that GEMS transfer could be fee-less and totally instant.
Basically how coins move during trading on exchange center.
But in that case the security take a serious hit. Your server get hacked once and GEMS will lose most of their value.
It's equal using you as a bank / online wallet. Centralized trading exchange at best.
While behind limited to trade only between GEMS & BTC.
(thoughts: cold storage protection by yourself = withdraw amount limitation per 24h // at worst it open the door to BTC partial-reserve risk)

IPO already started and I'm unable to find which model you will use.

A third model would be to team up with counterwallet.io
Make you app a mobile GUI for using the decentralized exchange (but as in my first expressed model, it is not usable to new user with 0 BTC).

Your idea is awesome.
But the blurriness of the fee-system / security really troubles me.
And your time line. Android app (+ hair drop start) only by June is close-to-unacceptable in the lightspeed world of ciphertech.
