I just set up a pool the first 10 people to find a block earn 0% fee's for 3 months. Normal fee is 1% gra.livechains.net

This pool should be added to first post and altminers should perhaps be removed from there.

And good job on starting a pool. The more the merrier.

My 1e6 coin showed up on the updated blockchain.

Hurray!  Good job in making this a smooth fix devs!!!

[edit]

Before I celebrate too much, can someone verify that I have the correct chain?

I think we started over from where the coin began generating only PoS blocks, so your tx probably was during this period and isn't counted, I think this may have been overlooked since most people aren't trading grain.

If the devs fork out transactions that were once legitimately on the blockchain, then most people will never trade grain.

This really wouldn't be acceptable.

well I don't even know if this is what happened, but it may have been an accident. grain is brand new so its not a big deal if its forked and some was lost, but obviously we wouldn't want to be removing completed transactions. I don't think this problem should happen again.

its supposed to be not an issue, but its known that 3 blocks were removed, perhaps some of your grain came from these blocks and this is the problem.

whatever was done it was done to repair a problem with the coin, and done as best as could be to minimize impact on the community.

plz trust this issue will be resolved, see if the sender has received any grains back from the tx. if this is the case then technically these grains are yours and he should resend them to u. if ur grains are gone forever I bet u will get them replaced by devs due to the nature of the problem.

just be understanding of the situation plz, when this kind of problems occur its hard to avoid some unintended outcomes, devs will do the best to help they can.

I believe this should be a one-time only problem and no more issues with disappearing tx after this.

Synced from scratch with pre-fork wallet backup with executable grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe with the nodes below in grain.conf

Still no luck. No transactions, no balance.

From the fix, it looks like 38847 is skipped and so all blocks should be intact, so the fix is actually a bulge and not a fork, is this correct?

If the chain were forked at 38847, then transactions afterwards are nullified and the person I acquired the coin from still has them in his wallet, presumably.

But my understanding is that this was a bulge around 38847, and so transactions following 38847 should still be valid.

Is this correct? What really happened with this coin?

hopefully you are the only person who had this issue.

so I don't know if it would be considered a bulge, fork, or something else. but I suspect that the original holder of the coins now has them back in his wallet, you should contact them and make them aware of the situation. hopefully they will be honest about it and resend the tx.

but plz allow some feedback from bosian before you can be sure this is the case.

And last question, is the node sequence important? I mean writing the node on first line is changing something?

node sequence does not affect anything, it uses all of them.

Hey Bosian,

I am using following nodes for solo mining.
Is it true or do i need to add more nodes?

addnode=66.187.67.233
addnode=199.58.167.85
addnode=98.207.109.245

No, as long as you sync'd to the right chain, the addnode is not important anymore. The order doesn't matter. All info should be in your peer.dat, so even you remove addnode in your conf file, you should be OK now.

Synct from scratch and still got around 20k unconfirmed grain.
I got around 10 unconfirmed transactions, all are PoS from when the chain forked. No idea how to get them removed from my wallet. Repair wont fix it.
Don't worry about them, sometimes the orphaned PoS blocks stay, it will not do any harm though, if you really feel annoyed but it, you can create a new wallet and transfer your balance over...
