do u think this will happen again? where it breaks? or its fixed now?

don't worry I wont quote you later if it breaks again Smiley

lol. This is a rare occurrence. I don't know why. From my search that it occurred only once in CosmosCoin, and once in Philosopherstone. I did not find it happened again. That's all I can say. Wink

and yet another post

I think im running my own blocks over again in the blockchain?

my balance went down a bit more, none of the blocks im generating stayed on there. im lookin at transactions and it shows nothing matured.

but I think this might be ok? or does this mean its not working?

blocks are still coming in and I did all the things you said.

it shows transactions and some of them have red clocks, and others above AND below them have ? marks...

working, maybe working, not working?

balance went down? then you must generated some pos blocks. Check if the missing balance moved to "stake" below the balance and added a bit more. Once they matured they wil return to balance.

ok excellent it seems to be working, I will let you know if it update more

right now its mining, but so far its slowly catching up on blocks.

also im mining a lot of blocks? that's good right?

how do we check the progress of blocks? like how many are total?

also it was some of my blocks that were lost, I lost 200k GRA but im making it back fast now, if this stays working Smiley

got some blocks? cool! Don't worry it says out of sync and catching. Mine is sometimes doing that too, there are two chains: the new one which both PoW and PoS work, but is shorter now, and the old one, where last few 1000s are only pos blocks, it is longer at this time.

The new chain will catch and surpass the old chain in a day or two. At this time it is 3780 blocks behind.

I would like someone if they know how to make a pool, could make one for grain for me?

I would gladly provide the domain, server stuff, etc and I would like to learn about how pools work but right now I don't have time to learn it.

ya mine is trying to sync to the old chain too I think

sorry, need to use my client to blacklist that node, otherwise it always sync back to the old pos chain, as it is longer at this time (will be surpassed in a day or two).

So I modified the process to be this:

1. Quit qt client.
2. Go to Grain config dir. create a new directory (for example called oldchain), move the database dir, blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat files to the new dir you created, then move these files from Blockchain in the downloaded unzipped file, to config dir. This way you can always go back to your old chain if anything happens.
3. Now start grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe, always with the addnodes as above, you should sync and then start to mine.

wat is file main.cpp for?
that file is for someone who wants to build their own client, for example linux client (for mining pools for example).

After the good chain becomes longer than the old chain, you can use the (old) normal client like before.

and use these updated addnodes:

addnode=66.187.67.233
addnode=199.58.167.85

I give it 6 weeks then a major patch is needed. Since it was a dev less clone it's as good as dead
"

Told you so, lol and you all wasted your time.

Go fud your COL and fix it first before coming here.

Col still moves after 2-3 months, your piece of shit is dead in 2 1/2 weeks. loosers.

COL is doing any PoW? loser, fix it 1st. I could have stupid enough like you, leave GRA as a PoS-only coin.

BTW, go away, no one here needs you.

43277 blocks

I did this:
1. Quit qt client.
2. This way you can always go back to your old chain if anything happens.
3. Now start your normal qt client (no need to use the downloaded one), always with the addnodes as above, you should sync and then start to mine.

43277 blocks
that not correct?

Looks like this is not working, it sync's back to the old chain (as it is longer).

Try this: repeat (1) and (2), but then start the client I provided, which blacklisted the block38847, so you won't sync back to the old chain...

ok Mr smarty pants Nolo, if this coin just became PoS then how do new people get Grains? Buy the Grains from us?? And if that is the case then you are correct that our coins just got more valuable and it happened rather unexpectedly i presume.

That's correct.  That's the only way to get new Grain now.

I knew this from the start. the only coin that still moves on POS is COL.

You lose.

my wallet says its ok after I added nodes, but solo mining says its finding blocks and nothing is coming.

not sure if that's what everyone else is getting but I will try to download all that other stuff.

is any1 generating good new grains? plz confirm

what block you are at? I am at 39449 now.

I don't know how to find out. on my cgminer it just says this  b82c7811

I only have cudaminer on windows and cgminer on Linux so..

on my wallet it says 43269 blocks of transactions history? if I hover the green checkmark.

where should I look lol/?? im nub

no 43xxx is the old chain. Not good. You may need to sync from scratch, using the client I provided, and addnodes in conf file
