You didn't answer the question. Have you ever seen a coin make a comeback after dropping so far?

Very little of the existing coins didn't have a comeback. Take a look into the full market history of ten arbitrary alts only.

I don't remember a coin going from top 50 to out of top 150 then coming back at all. I've been around since 2014. Sucks there's not a site (afaik) that allows you to plot market cap position over time.

Then you should learn from your experience and not buy the top 50. It's more easy as you believe - for simple minds like humans only passive rebalancing can get some gains in the long run. If you believe on yourself an "expert" you must loose, because all simpletons win on rebalancing for sure, because they are more near to reality than you.

Beyond this, the Groestl dev group is not here for making you or anybody rich. I hope they play with clear conscience.

At some point if you want to be money you have to attract money and people. Yes, development is important in software, however in these systems the social aspect is probably at least as important if not more so. Development in this case is only merging Bitcoin stuff and porting wallet software right? It's not like there is anything new being done with GRS, and I'm not sure how much value there is in having yet another Litecoin with the only differentiating feature being an even more front-loaded emission schedule. You can dismiss marketcap as irrelevant, but when you're hanging out right next to Dentacoin on the charts it seems like the market has dismissed you as well.

With your metric Litecoin has much value, difference in opinion. Porting wallets is a big undertaking that big coins like Litecoin could only dream of.
There is not even 1 altcoin that has ported as much as we did (including the groestl hash to all programming languages).
Market is not coinmarketcap, however we will see if  coinmarketcap/market will proof you wrong this/next year.

Eh, maybe. I thought it was in top 50 at some point but maybe I'm mistaken.

We were never in top 50 afaik. I have seen it briefly in top 100 for couple of days in april 2018/2019 I think. Afaik it was always hovering around top 150.

I think really being alive would be staying ahead of garbage like that at least.

Bitconnect was in top 10 at some point also. If there is enough money behind a coin even without development they can stay in top 30 with ease.
I personally think using coinmarketcap is a bad metric to determine if something is garbage or not.
I personally compare github (activity) to see if a coin is dead or not: https://github.com/Groestlcoin

Have you ever seen a cryptocurrency bounce back and regain momentum after losing 100+ spots on market cap rankings? Maybe I'm wrong and GRS is going to have a second coming 🤷‍♀️

Interesting metric. So lets say GRS enters the top 100 this year, it would not be dead anymore in your eyes?
Maybe activating schnorr, taproot and tapscript as (one of) the first will help gaining some momentum as we did with segwit.

Eh, maybe. I thought it was in top 50 at some point but maybe I'm mistaken. The next straight bitcoin clone after litecoin and the bcashes is bitcoin gold at 37 or something. I think really being alive would be staying ahead of garbage like that at least.

Ukrainians will resist
I believe in this coin.
From the very beginning, I mined it and followed its development.
The developers are great, they are constantly developing and improving the coin.
The best times for the coin will come soon.

RIP in peace

Doesn't RIP already means Rest In Peace?
Why you think GRS is dead?
...
No comments here for over a month. Market cap now #188. No interest on Google:
...

No interest = buy time
every's interest = sell time

Why are people so lazy to understand this simple correlation? Not to forget: donate into this RIP coin by purchasing somewhat. And then sleep for long and take your loss or gain later.

Reddit is actually less of a ghost town than I would've guessed. Twitter seems to be just people asking for giveaways. I just don't think coins rise from the dead, or from anywhere close to it. The Lightning Network Daemon (lnd) - is a complete implementation of a Lightning Network node.

Lnd has several pluggable back-end chain services including grsd (a full-node), groestlcoind, and neutrino (a new experimental light client). The project's codebase uses the grssuite set of Groestlcoin libraries, and also exports a large set of isolated re-usable Lightning Network related libraries within it.

Features
• Creating channels.
• Closing channels.
• Completely managing all channel states (including the exceptional ones!).
• Maintaining a fully authenticated+validated channel graph.
• Performing path finding within the network, passively forwarding incoming payments.
• Sending outgoing onion-encrypted payments through the network.
• Updating advertised fee schedules.
• Automatic channel management (autopilot).
• Two primary RPC interfaces are exported: an HTTP REST API, and a gRPC service.

grsd is an alternative full node groestlcoin implementation written in Go (golang).

If you want an alternative full node wallet and are an advanced user, then grsd is the right choice for you.
It also properly relays newly mined blocks, maintains a transaction pool, and relays individual transactions that have not yet made it into a block.
It ensures all individual transactions admitted to the pool follow the rules required by the block chain and also includes more strict checks which filter transactions based on miner requirements ("standard" transactions).

Features
• Works via TOR or SOCKS5 proxy
• Can use bootstrap.dat format as blockchain database
• Supports Websockets (grsd/grswallet) and HTTP POST mode (groestlcoin core)
• Provides callback and registration functions for grsd/grswallet notifications
• Supports grsd extensions
• Translates to and from higher-level and easier to use Go types
• Offers a synchronous (blocking) and asynchronous API
• Supports the getblocktemplate RPC
• Comes with a seperate grsctl command line utility that can be used to both control and query grsd via RPC. Grsd does not enable its RPC server by default; You must configure at minimum both an RPC username and password or both an RPC limited username and password

Groestlcoin Spark Lightning Wallet Android: A minimalistic wallet GUI for c-lightning through Android

Groestlcoin Spark is currently oriented for technically advanced users and is not an all-in-one package, but rather a "remote control" interface for a c-lightning node that has to be managed separately.
Groestlcoin Sparks supports sending and receiving payments, viewing history, and managing channels.
Groestlcoin Spark is a purely off-chain wallet, with no on-chain payments. This allows Groestlcoin Spark to fully realize the awesome UX enabled by lightning.
Groestlcoin Spark has a responsive UI suitable for mobile, tablet and desktop devices, but is best optimized for use on mobile

Features:
• Pay and Request are pretty intuitive and don't require much explaining. Try them!
• Display unit: Click the balance on the top-right or the unit in the "request payment" page to toggle the currency display unit. The available options are gro, groestls, milli, grs and usd.
• Theme switcher: Click the theme name on the bottom-right to change themes (you can choose between 16 bootswatch themes).
• Payment details: Click on payments in the list to display more details. (note that the fee shown includes c-lightning's overpayment randomization)
• Expert mode: Click the version number on the bottom-left to toggle expert mode. This will add two new menu items, "Logs" and "RPC Console", and display yaml dumps with additional information throughout the app.
• Node address: Click the node id on the footer to open the node info page which displays your node address (as text and QR).
• Channel management: Click the "Channels" button inside the node info page to show and manage channels.
