Im currently speaking with gruve_p in an effort to convince him to reinstate POS as part of the project roadmap. he seems very concerned about the pos vulnerabilities but from my understanding, one would still have to spend alottttt of money to exploit pos and it really wouldnt make sense to do so since after theyve done that the value of their coin would drop so they wasted all their money?? ive suggested  a very low POS inflation rate 1-5%.

what do you guys think about that?

wallet coding side is pretty weak
but if they keep a non pos coin thats no big issue
plain POW coins easy to maintain

and in miner area they have good skills
just the miss-concept of closed source miners with hidden fee
(8% as our tests shows)

im sure once scrxxx is more active again he will rethink that concept
and serve the groestl algo by make his miner improvements available for all grs based coins and pools

I Agree with everything in your post. You have my vote, let's get this done, the price is reflecting a lack of interest.

I like this coin from day one more so because of the quality of the announcement the quality of the information in the announcement, the quality of the wallet itself, the quality of the home website. Everything is top notch quality. Everything is done well, except for the marketing of the coin for some strange reason.  I think this coin needs to be re-branded. The key "selling" point is buried beneath too much other information, and that is, that his is the lowest energy most cost efficient coin to mine. This needs to be selling point. No one knows this.  The coin needs to be re-branded as the "summer" coin. It is already blue color, perhaps a more ice blue color. Mining this coin produces the least heat from the GPU's uses the least energy/watts, this is the coin for people to mine in the summer time when everyone is having their air conditioning at full speed, their GPU's are pumping out heat day and night mining other coins etc.

1. Coin needs to be somehow certified that it is the most efficient coin to mine to date. I don't know who or how or what can make such a certification but I think there is already a list of which coins costing what to mine?
2. Full verified data for all GPU's used to mine this coin should be listed detailing MH/s, cost per W, number of coins that can be mined etc. So that people can see without having to work out for themselves
3. Rebrand it as the "summer" coin (I do not mean re-name), it needs to branded as the coin to mine in the summer as it produces the least heat and uses the least electricity out of all coins. Obviously you do not only have to mine it in the summer.
4. Change the color to a cool blue or ice blue to match this theme.

In sum the fact that it is the most efficient coin to mine needs to be verified and screamed from the roof tops so that people know this and it is available to mine and use.

The big stake holders and the majority of the investors are already notified of this announcement.
PoS hybrid and groestlsend was promised and I (me) decided to drop it.

This is why:
- Mindfox is one of the biggest PoS brains out there. He has his hands full with other projects, does not sleep and does not even have time to spent with his family. We don't want to destroy his life. He came onboard our team on a project basis for PoS hybrid and Groestlsend. We decided to relieve him from this burden and wish him all the best with all future projects.
- What good did PoS do for coins that are recently switched to it? Did the price rise? Í don't believe in unlimited coin supply. With more coins mined at a high rate, prices will decrease cause of more fresh supply. PoS encourages holding the coins as investment, avoiding it's circulation, i.e. true use as a cryptocurrency. Then worst PoS looks at the coin age: the longer you're holding a large amount of cryptocurrency, the higher the chance of mining a block, which further reduces chance of circulation. What good did anon do? Except the risk being banned by a government. Real anon does not exist, only hard to trace. In the end when u want to cash out your coin, you still will need to identify yourself. PoS and anon is just a hype nothing more.
- We don't want to sell our soul. Innovation is good but instead following other coins we decided to keep our identity. Why did I implement the Grostl algo in our coin? Because its fairer to all miners and AES accelerated. If we will go PoS hybrid then it would not be fair (rich people will get richer like in real life with fiat money). Also the AES acceleration will be of no good (we still have a browser miner planned at the end of this year).
-PoS wallet problem: staking on a mobile wallet will deplete the battery very quickly.

There is a reason why blackcoin is not being accepted on Kraken and why they are working on PoS 2.0. The vulnerabilities weigh heavier than the advantages for me.

I'm saying this because it's now time for you to step up as a community and do anything/something for this coin. In order to keep this coin alive we are reaching out for volunteers (moderators for reddit, tweeters, facebookers, bloggers, community managers, advisors, service providers etc etc.) Ask yourself what can I do for Groestlcoin? Sitting safe and waiting for news behind your pc won't do you and Groestlcoin any good.  Again we need a bigger team and are calling the community to STEP UP!
