Guys let's be real here: If we jump over to speedminer with a couple of guys we will increase that pool's hashrate and more blocks will be found as a result.
We just have to do it together to make this happen.

Also, I don't see speedminers apply any fees (anymore?) Smiley

i went to other pool, i think the mean reason everyone goes to this http://ic.mepool.cc/ becasue there is no fee, but
i think its stupid of one pool has almost all the networkhash.

they have 55 mhash and most of the other pools are under 5 mhash

I am mining on speedminer and been having steady payouts, sod the fees thats something that happens, come along we need the hashes dood

I guess ICoin miners like to suffer and loose coins...

http://ic.mepool.cc/ has 84MH/s in 110MH/s of the Network. I know everybody likes payouts but being greedy like this is just stupid...

Pools should just kick the highest hashing workers when the % approaches 50. Problem solved.

now that's a bloody marvelous idea!!!!! Easy enough I'm sure

ic.mepool.cc appear to be controlling the blockchain.  I tried to do the right thing and hop over to http://speedminer.org.  Until a few days ago they had no fees.  Occasionally they would find blocks relatively fast (~10 minutes).  But it was becoming more common that it was 1-3 hours for 1 block.  Now they are charging transaction fees for blocks and withdrawals.

Until recently I think you could come out better with speedminer, even waiting a couple hours for a block.  But now with fees and ic.mepool controlling the blockchain it's not worth it.  I don't even understand why they are running fees.  It's not on an exchange yet.

The iCoin devs need to talk with ic.mepool and fix things (speedminer too).  They also need to find a few more people willing to run pools.

The other pools will most likely need to run a promotion over a week period with the top finders getting extra iCoin. That's what I would do Smiley

Hi  When checking the icoin-qt.exe at 'virus total', the analysis passes all but one of the virus checks.

That one reports - Bkav   HW32.Laneul.xaga

And also in the  'additional information' tab, it says  - F-Secure Deepguard Suspicious:W32/Malware!Gemini

and - Symantec reputation Suspicious.Insight

I tested both icoin-qt files, available here on the first page  Mirror 1: https://mega.co.nz/#!dpFWwQTT!AD6CwjMxvwV-47NAWKZwjQzn93svhhOhKZXVEALwBQU

Mirror 2: http://www.icoin.pw/wallet/icoin1.3.zip

I am relatively new to all this, so would appreciate someone else more knowledgeable checking this for me, and hopefully reassuring me that the result is just a false positive.

Many thanks
That particular AV, i am pretty sure, has reported several clean wallets to have that
On top of that. If you don't trust the pre-compiled binaries, check out the source code, make sure it's clean and compile it yourself Smiley

If you had £180 what GPU would you buy to mine Icoin??
I would go with a R9 270. Uses less power than a 270x and gets pretty much the same has rate. I've got 2 running and get about 440khs each.

440khs aint bad, my 5830 gives me about 275 at the moment so defo want something to give me more

cheers
