For a project with a market cap of 240 million dollar - after dropping from over a billion - and a daily volume of 10 million there are surprisingly few pages in this thread. Where is everyone hanging out?

Repost: Loopring Token on NEO & Qtum — Token Sale and Airdrop
https://medium.com/loopring-protocol/repost-loopring-token-on-neo-qtum-token-sale-and-airdrop-4beca206900d

This post outlines our distribution plan for new Loopring tokens on additional target blockchains, and provides some details specific to the distribution of the Loopring token on NEO and Qtum.

We are scrapping the prior binding process for the airdrop, and creating a new smart contract to facilitate address binding in the coming weeks. Read more to get all the details.

Loopring is a blockchain agnostic protocol that enables people to trade tokens in a secure, anonymous, and trustless manner by using users’ private-keys in order to authorize orders directly from their own wallets. Loopring’s robust and progressive design aims to solve more than just the inherent problems that centralized exchanges experience. It is designed for the future “cyber-economy” where economic activities and value transfers and exchanges not only happen between humans, but also between smart agents (robots) powered by artificial intelligence. These smart agents think, own, and trade, powering a new, AI economy. This type of value transfer will be instrumental in supporting innovations such as drone deliveries and self driving taxis.

The Loopring Protocol avoids the performance issues plaguing public blockchains. Loopring accomplishes this by managing, sharing, and ring-matching cryptographically signed orders, all within a consortium blockchain network. Loopring thus bypasses the scaling issues by only posting actual trades as transactions on public blockchains.

Version 1.0 of the Protocol has been deployed on top of Ethereum and Qtum; currently, we are implementing the protocol on the NEO blockchain. In addition, Protocol version 1.1 will introduce a better incentive model.

Hi Dev, I am confused. Are you saying that there will be a token swap?
The old Looping token will be swapped for a new Looping token?
If so, what date and how?
Bittrex just added this token / will Bittrex support the token swap, if there is going to be one?
Will you guys move to your own platform?

I would spend some time to read whitepaper as just now saw it was published already. After reaching at this price which is approximately 90% down than all time highs of few months ago. It can be considered safe investment now depend on the content of that technical paper. It is time to take a look at that seeing the market.

LEAF Bounties for Whitepaper Translation

Loopring Foundation will reward up to 100,000 LRN and 100,000 LRQ for translating our new whitepaper into 10 languages.

Background & Objectives
We recently released a new Loopring whitepaper in English. This whitepaper is much easier to read than the origin one but still very technical, as it is supposed to be.

We want to incentivize open-source community to translate it into the following language: Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, German, Vietnamese, French, Korean, and Italian.

100,000 LRN and 100,000 LRQ are prepared to incentivize volunteers. As of the last round of private token sale, the price of LRN and LRQ are1.0 USD and 0.45USD respectively.

The Deliverables
The whitepaper has been maintained in this github repository. The whitepaper PDF file was compiled from two source files: 1) en_whitepaper.tex and 2) whitepaper.bib, where en_whitepaper.tex is the main LaTex file and the only one you need to translate, while whitepaper.bib is the bibliography file that contains all publications we cited.

If you don’t know LaTex, here is a Word document for the whitepaper. Feel free to work with your favorite editor, when it’s ready , copy and paste your work into a Google doc — name it as “xx_whitepaper_your_name” — make sure anyone who have its URL has access for comment. Please put your team’s contact information in the doc so other contributors can reach you. When your Google doc is ready, share it with Daniel Wang for review. In case you are the sole contributor, Daniel will tweet your translation for community review. If you don’t work with LaTex, no need to translate the diagrams.

If you do know how to use LaTex we assume you know git too. Please feel free to clone the repository and make a copy of en_whitepaper.tex and rename it to xx_whitepaper.tex where xx represents the language, then you can edit the file directly and track changes with git. When your pull request is ready, Daniel will also tweet it if you are the sole contributor so people can review the generated PDF file — please make sure your source files compile.

Before starting the translation, email Daniel Wang and cc all your team members, we can use that same email thread for communication.

Rewards
For each language, we have prepared 100,000 LRN and 100,000 LRQ for all contributors. We strongly encourage you to join a team to collaborate. Eventually we will only select and reward the single best work.
We will send tokens to the team lead, and he/she will be responsible for distribute tokens among team members.
If the final deliverable are github pull requests with translated diagrams, and the final PDF can be generated correctly, we will reward 100,000 LRN and 100,000 LRQ to the team; if the final deliverable are github pull requests without translated diagrams, we will reward 90% of the bounty reward; if the final deliverable is a Google doc, we will reward 75% of the bounty reward. Depending on the quality of the translation, additional discount may also apply.
Deadline
These bounties are valid until May 15th 2018. Please make sure you submit your work before the deadline.

Got Questions?
Please join us in our Telegram channel (Loopring_whitepaper) for questions and collaborations on these bounties. Make sure 1) you fully understand what the Loopring Protocol is and how it works, and 2) you and your team has a way to communicate with each other — we probably won’t have time to answer fundamental questions.

LRC Is Availavle On Upbit Exchange Now!
https://medium.com/loopring-protocol/lrc-is-availavle-on-upbit-exchange-now-14b6b38d92e2

Loopring has eventually arrived to South Korea.
Today Loopring team has received a notification from the famous Korean crypto-exchange Upbit. Now Upbit has opened the deposit and withdraw of LRC, trading pairs of LRC/BTC, LRC/ETH markets are available now. The Korea largest allcoin exchange has received a huge amount of requests from Loopring Korean community.

Loopring foundation believes that South Korean ban on anonymous accounts will mean decentralized token exchange(DEX) getting more traction. Korean market has a huge potential to use the DEX service. And Loopring protocol enables people to build up DEX on its own wallet.

About Loopring Protocol
Loopring is the protocol for decentralized exchanges. With Loopring, all building blocks of a traditional exchange are disassembled and put together again as different roles in a decentralized environment. These roles include wallets, relays, liqudity sharing consortium blockchains, orderbook browsers, ring-miners, and asset tokenization services.

About Upbit Exchange:
Upbit is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Korea, it was established by Dunamu, a Korea financial science company and Bittrex, a famous cryptocurrency exchange in US. It not only supports more than 200 trading pairs, more than 110 tokens but also supports KRW trading pairs.

Hey guys, so I was reading a bit about binding my ETH address that has my LRC in it to receive the airdrops, and I read that medium article that says in april a wallet will come out and it will be much easier and they airdrops don't start until may. So wouldn't it be easier to just wait for the wallet to come out instead of going through all those confusing steps to bind my LRC?

Loopring Bi-Weekly Update — 03/02/2018

In this update we will share our progress on our wallet UI/UX design, and protocol v1.1 development. Please note that this report only covers 5 work days because of the Lunar Chinese New Year.

Protocol
We have implemented Dual Authoring, our solution to front-running. The code has been merged into the master branch. We have also accomplished several optimizations, including 1) updating public the protocol’s interface to minimize the data footprint in Ethereum transactions, 2) introducing an internal struct RingParams to clean up internal application logic, 3) optimizing the calculation of a ring-hash. The master branch is now ready to branch out into a new v1.1 branch for deployment. The v1.1 release still doesn’t incentivize wallets, but all the methods and parameters are defined and will be compatible for a future v1.2 release which is due in April. V1.2 will pay wallets 20–25% of the mining fee.

We have also made some progress on our LRN smart contract on NEO, and we are currently busy with the airdrop smart contract. We have also reached an agreement with OnChain to have them review and audit our smart contract code.

Hey guys listen to me, when people visit your site they don't get what loopring is for.
You need Pictures with few words, which explains LRC like 0x, Ripple, Iota, Stellar.
Perfect would be like for to our age fitting flat animated pictures.
A picture tells more then 1000 words Wink

I first understood Loopring after a YouTube video, while the hype in sep/dez because at that time everybody was cracking his had to find a good investment.
But people are lazy to think, so pictures explain a lot in milliseconds in any language.
Means much faster understanding and less jump rate.

Ok, you mean an infographic.

If Loopring staff would contact me with their wishes & proposition, I would like to see what I can put together.

Put aside the candy value LRC as the transaction cost alternative, the reasonable price in 1.5 dollars is not in the vicinity has been very impressive, after all, the Ethernet transfer price is only a few yuan, the center of the BNB market is very influential in the $1 billion Huh
