i translated the german ann thread, bounty and also the whitepaper, where i mostly learned, how this project functions and what is this all about.
i will also invest some eth into this project.
if you guys are having intentions to invest too, make your homework, get your informations, read the whitepaper, make research on the internet regarding this project and their team and then decide, if you want to invest or not. only invest what you can afford, ofc!

anybody noticed yet that the logo is ultrasimular to beats by dr dre? if its a marketing strategy its quite nic imo
I didnt notice but now that you say it, It REALLY looks a lot alike. Its almost exact copy but than turned around. This could for sure have influence on your subconscious mind. Good marketing
That is weird, i have owned beats by dre in the past and I didnt make that link. Lets hope beats by dre doesnt agree with you guys, that could end up in a lawsuit

This project truly asserts that "information is power" and it's about time we take our personal data for our own good and not to let big companies monetize other people's data.
it's good that this projects gives people some choice on the matter, but remember there's a cost to pay for your social media and that's your data.

I see this is just a demo and not really a alpha version. The purpose is only to give you an idea of how it will look like in the future. I really like that Datum is providing a demo, good work.
And that they did not have time to create a working version instead of a demo? I do not like this approach to work: first we get the money, and then we will work. And if they do not work?
Okay,... But you know the function of an ICO? Datum needs to collect money to realize their idea like any other project. If they would have a complete product, they wouldnt need an ICO
That's so true and it is better to see a demo/alpha whatever then nothing at all beside maybe just a whitepaper. A working version is much more complex then a demo version which is mostly like a dummy.

I just tried the demo. Visual and functions looking very well for a demo. The only thing when you try to sell your data it takes a long time.

I tried the demo and the loadings were too long on a Galaxy S8. I know that it is a demo version, I'll wait for a better version to really try it.
I try it too and it looks ok with my mobile device. I already connected my facebook and twitter accounts on it. I will keep exploring this application to get the better understanding.

Pretty happy to test this alpha app out before ICO is started. Gives a way better picture of what they are trying to accomplish.

The graphic interface looks nice, there are some examples of Facebook data being sold but i guess its just for demo purposes. I still dont understand how they calculate the value of your data.

So datum is working on a webapp and a smartphone app, right? Can you tell me how you will collect data with the apps? Like is it possible to say in the options that specific data should not be collected and saved or do you have to collect all data possible, upload them and then afterwards you can just decide which data will be sold to different companies?
