Good on them not going the ICO route. You want industry related investors. ICOs are IT mainly, wrong sector really. Not even mentioning the legal drawbacks.

Even investment costs are very high in real life. Methanol production generally needs governmental subsidies to stay alive at many county. How you will deal with the high investment costs and long pay-back times? I know its environmental friendly and world needs it bu why any investor would need to risk their investments. You need more clear documentation for you desired governmental subsidies.

Looks like they changed their strategy and decided to look for investors in some more traditional way. Their site tells "if you want more detailed information on investment, please give us a call". An old way for older people Grin. The same way there are still some retail sale companies who tell on their website "call us to place an order" Grin

Crypto and general crowdfunding and not for everyone... *yet*.

Indeed its very SilentTM in here. Nobody is interested to work with potential investors, thus no wonder nobody is interested in investing Undecided

Its refreshing to see a genuine serious non-crypto business running an ICO.

However from the very start I have few concerns... I suppose you know that the tokens you sell, will not be treated as utility tokens, but will be considered a security (or even equity) token, with all the regulatory burden caused by that. See, for example, this:
2. unlike a share of a non-listed company, the token is a liquid asset that can be traded online anytime
what are your specific plans to make those tokens really exchangeable/tradeable?

Interesting project, but as far as I understand with the money that you are raising right now you are not going to be able to complete the plant that you're looking for.
Do you plan on any other sale phases later on?

Yes, there will be a Second and a Third Public Sale of treasury tokens in 2020 and 2022

Hello,

Very interesting project! Congrats! Smiley
Do you have any plans of getting one of the methanol plant soon?

Thanks for your comment. We will build our first Methanol synthesis plant by raising funds through this ICO. We are targeting annual production of 1 million liters methanol till 2020. Our target is 28 million methanol till 2021.

Why do you offer an ICO instead of standard shares?

We are indeed offering shares of the company as well to qualified investors.
The main advantages we see in the token offering are:
1. we can lower the minimum investment needed to participate
2. unlike a share of a non-listed company, the token is a liquid asset that can be traded online anytime
3. we can lower the administrative cost to manage the flow of funds and dividends

But apart from this, there are also negative aspects, and especially for investors. You know about them, right? See what happens to the 95% ICO tokens on the crypto market. All of them are sold at a price less than the ICO. Do you have a strategy to avoid this?

What are the benefits of holding the token?

Holding the Silent token gives the holder an attractive share in the ecosystem and the future of silent. Silent will distribute 82% of EBIT among the token holders and in the case of an acquisition by another company 35% of the total acquisition price will be distributed among the token holders.

Are you planning to expand your unit beyond Switzerland?

We plan worldwide. Anywhere where the business case is convenient. Actually Switzerland and Germany are the best locations due to the sensibility to the CO2 challenge and therefore taxation of fossil based fuels that release additional CO2 into the atmosphere. Consumers for the methanol synthesis plants are fuel industry and plastic producers. Methanol is the 2nd most traded fluid worldwide. And for CO2 neutral methanol there is high demand.

do you have private investors on this project or partners to begin with? if not, then if your ico fails high chance that this will not push thru
this kind of concept needs big whales to pursue such technology and should not depend from the community here

I did not see the answer to this question?
The idea is really gorgeous. But this is a very expensive and long-term project. Such projects should be supported by giants, on private investors there is no life for the project

Hello, yes, the company Silent-Power (Projects) Ltd. is held by several shareholders.

I want to share with you this interview that we just made so you can know a little bit more about us:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gl5ZAotuN2U

You will see the company, and why we are trying to make an ICO.
