Is this some kind of voice recognition app that integrated with AI?
If that so, then it should be able to make some kind of assistant app that can help users for some task that need an app to do it.

Hey disbil :-) Thanks for the question.

The focus of our project is to help those developers and startups build high quality voice recognition app that integrates AI by crowdsourcing audio/voice data that they can use to train their AI models. Simply put, we are aiming to be a  language data resource network (check out our blog post to understand what resource network is!)

This is kind of interesting, Perhaps in the future it also can be used as some kind of virtual assistance for everyday need.
So i wish you a good luck for the best project.

Hi cattano :-)
Yes, in the future, we hope to also provide services of NLP model marketplace and voice-id authentication which are crucial parts of AI virtual assistant.

Thank you for the support!

Can you elaborate on "PoA"? I'm familiar with Proof of Activity but  curious how it might be applied to an ERC20. (admittedly, I've not yet read the whitepaper - apologies if it's covered elsewhere!)

hi murphysProphet!

To address the issues of mirco-transactions for both mining voice data as well as payouts from the Reword Pool, we propose to use an ethereum-based sidechain called the LangNet chain. Data contribution and reward pool payouts are executed on the LangNet chain while consumer token lockups are executed on the public ethereum blockchain.

We provide one on one convertibility via Atomic Swaps between LANG and the LangNet Chain's xLang for value preservation and state verification between the two blockchains. The LangNet chain uses a Proof of Authority(PoA) consensus algorithm which allows new nodes to sync their state and send transactions.

Hope this answers your question :-)

Ah ok, I was thinking Proof of Activity for some reason, not Proof of Authority. I'll not spam the thread with additional questions until after reading through whitepaper. Thank you for the response, helpful to have that cleared up Smiley

no worries! Please feel free to ask us any question! we love your input!

I am sure that at LangNet developers it will turn out to create a safe, fair, steady ecosystem for language applications and services!

Thanks Nagasaki for the support!

Our developers are indeed very qualified and they are working very hard to make it all happen :-)

First of all, it is hard to manage fees for small transactions. Therefore, in the case of micro-transactions, we are using a Ethereum-based sidechain called the LangNet chain(PoA), which does not generate transaction fees.

Please let us know if you have additional questions!

Interesting idea eze no one's own voice is not monetized. The only question is how confident are you that this technology of saving votes and further selling on servers will allow to work normally even with small fees?

Interesting project! Did I understand correctly that you would be charged for providing the user with his / her voice data? Does it matter what language I speak here? And will this difference affect the valuation of the data?

Hi french_andrey!

Thank you so much for taking interest in our project!

You understood correctly!!! We will pay users for their voice data and companies who need the voice data will buy it from us.

For starters, we aim to collect the following languages (and will gradually expand into other languages) :
English
Chinese
Spanish
Russian
Japanese
German
French
Arabic
Hindi
Portuguese
Italian
Indonesian / Malay
Korean
Vietnamese
Persian
Turkish
Hebrew

Hopefully you speak one of these languages Smiley!

We have a working prototype in a telegram bot format. Try it out: https://t.me/LangNetwork_Bot (it's quite fun in my opinion)

Regarding the valuation of the data:

Users receive tokens for validated audio recordings on a per second basis, and the payout for each language halves whenever a block of 10,000hours is accumulated.

The mining schedule front loads payouts and rewards early adopters with more tokens. As data are accumulated and more use cases covered for that language, the marginal value of additional data decreases, so less tokens are paid out per period. However, accumulation of data increases the value of the network, putting upward pressure on the price of LANG tokens. Moreover, contributing to languages for which data are not being accumulated will become increasingly lucrative as the price of LANG moves up, attracting more contributors to languages that lack data.
