From now and then there is no changes in activities of this pal which leads me to believe in and wait for the full potential of this Pal. I hope the insurance services will be available here soon in my country and worldwide for massive adoption of the services they provide. Insurance is everyone's need not just for the death but in mamy different services like the Policypal offers.

Not yet. But first payment will be in the end of March or early April. And they said that they will improve reward system (probably staking rewards will be in poroption of holding tokens, at last I hope for this).

From when on will they change the reward system? I always thought 1 supernode gives you 1 share (a masternode give you 10) no matter how many tokens you hold. I am totally fine with this system and I hope it won't be changed. From the second year on, when we have TX costs, your rewards will mostly depend on how long you have your supernode running and how many transactions you have processed anyway.

Why we should unlock wallet several times when try supernode ?

Once you opened and unlocked your wallet and started your supernode it doesn't matter when it gets locked again. The supernode should work in the background as long as you don't close your wallet completely. I think this is just a safety messurement so that noone can sent your coins away if you've left your computer unattended.

Here is calculator so we can check how much get daily?

After the PAL mainnet is now running for roughly a month and also the first insurances are offered, are there already some statistics? Like how many individual supernodes we had in the first month. How many insurances where taken out and how many successful insurance claims were there?

You can see how many supernodes are online at current moment. But as for insured products they still dont have statistics as far as I know. But this would be nice to see. Hope they will make this.

I know that you can see the number of supernodes that are currently running. But I am interesting to know how many individual supernodes there were in January that qualified for a reward (processed at least one transaction)

I just saw that they released a linux version of their wallet a few days ago. Does anyone know if it's now possible to set up the supernode now on a VPS without having to keep the tokens on the wallet which is running on the VPS?

You mean supernode or masternode? For supernode you must keep tokens on wallet and can run on your home PC. But for masternode you must sent application and must have VPS. The only 21 masternode slots will be available...

I am talking about the supernode. It would be ideal to having the possibility to run the supernode on a VPS as a cold wallet because, in my opinion, it's way too risky to have the tokens on the wallet that runs on the VPS.

Yes, I think so too. Hope they will add some other security to wallet (for example G2A would be great). And anyone than could not withdraw coin from wallet without phone acces.

Great project, great vision and in the future i know they will succeed.

I have been running a supernode for a week and no transaction has passed through my node, only "package history" (btw what is it).
I know the activity on their chain is low, but only for now. Also they launched their product only available in Singapour if i remember right. I really would like to have it in our western countries. Could be cheaper and cooler than our actual insurance policies.

Dont worry, mate. I didnt have processed transations too for a while 5 days and than in one day I got few transactions.
They launhed 3 product, not only for Singapore. They launched for 11 countries already. But they working to expand more.

My supernode is also running since Friday morning or so but it's not active 24/7. I have 6 processed so far. But since there are no tx fees in the first year, it doesn't really matter how many tx you are processing. You'll get rewarded as long as you process one transaction per month.

PAL released instructions how to run a supernode:

https://medium.com/@palnetwork_/supernode-staking-guide-faqs-cb53e36c9578

Supernodes looks like very easy for use. No need VPS or dedicated server for run a node. It can be running on PC. rewards will be paid every month, but only  after the token swap is completed at the end of Q1. Looks like very promising  Roll Eyes

In my opinion it would've been better if they allowed the possibility to run it on a VPS. Sure they want to make it as easy as possible for everyone but having to keep the wallet running on a home computer 24/7 is very inconvenient.

But this is possible to run on VPS too. Or they going to make this possible (not sure). And you dont need run 24|7 as I know. As for first month there is needed only 1 Transaction Processed per month (but this may be increased in future).

Sure it's possible to run the supernode on a Windows VPS but this way you have to keep your tokens in the wallet on the VPS, which is very risky. And I wouldn't recomment that to anyone.
