Definitely an original project, and a much needed one on top of that.

I went through the white paper and I am now quite enthousiastic about the approach and the possibilities here.

However I got a bit confused on some aspects and I have a few questions, could you please clarify :

- What is the exact status of the QN : is it a protocol running on ethereum (as QSP is an ERC20 token) or is it an independant blockchain, maintained by "verifier nodes", which can intereact with the smart contracts created on the ethereum blockchain (or any other blockchain where QSP would be deployed)

- In the case QN is effectively a blockchain, could you describe in a more detailled way how blocks are created ? This is what's written in the white paper.
Quote
The Quantstamp protocol ensures the verification and certification of smart contracts is part of the mathematical problem that a verifier needs to solve.
Does it mean that the blocks of the blockchain would be issued through PoW that would contain the work required to do the automated checks of smart contracts (when there are pending checks) ?
- In the Case QN isn't an independant blockchain, can you explain how the network of verifier nodes is created and how the tasks are affected to the nodes?

- The white paper mentions that other smart contract languages might be added, however i see no such plans in the roadmap ? I assume these further developments to be contextual (ie if another platform starts to enjoy success, the Quantstamp API  will be likely deployed on it)?

- Tezos team argued that one of the weaknesses of Ethereum was that Solidity is a "bad" language for smart contracts because it can't be verified efficiently in an automated way, which is why they went for more "obscure" dev languages (Ocaml if i am not mistaken)
what do you think about this claim? Any opinion on their approach?

Thanks for the answers and all the best for the crowdsale !

How many % discount will be on presale ?

Presale rates are stated below, based on the proof-of-care level awarded.

    Caring level 1 ($3M): 1 ETH = 10,000 QSP (unchanged)
    Caring level 2 ($4M): 1 ETH = 7,000 QSP
    Caring level 3 ($4M): 1 ETH = 6,000 QSP

This is exactly my criticism on the ICO. The project is great, but the token pricing should be fair for the community. Otherwise for those getting 40% less tokens, it may be wiser not to participate and wait for exchanges because there will be some dump that will cause it go below ICO price.
Thats the Presale (11Mio Tokens)

ICO = 19 Mio Tokens : 1ETH = 5000 QSP

What exactly does Quantstamp offer that other existing projects do not offer yet or what does it make better than these other ones?

It's actually a pretty interesting project that I can see having widespread implementation down the line (and even currently). Obviously adoption will be key, which I expect won't be much of an issue. They are a establishing a protocol to secure smart contracts by introducing a scalable proof-of-audit system. Basically this can be used to assess smart contracts BEFORE one invests in them, instead of after funds have been sent to them (as is typically seen). Furthermore, it's often individuals perform the audits currently, instead of a standardized protocol.

The project already has a working prototype and a fantastic team with backgrounds in the tech scene (think Google, Amazon, Microsoft).

Quantstamp from my point of view seems like a good project with a workable service.

From what we know they helped in the Request.network ICO, which was a very well run ICO and 100% sold out. Seeing the great potential, I guess its a going to be one of the top sought after ICOs.

Do your research and get to know more by checking their site out, look for Quantstamp project.

There is going to be a big demand for services for securing smart contracts.

Looks very good which can be beneficial to the smart contract field. Although there are many smart contract project, it can be booming too. I expect for a huge pump.
