When will the cards be translated into other languages?

Hi. That's quite an undertaking that we can't afford to make at this stage. I would not expect any alternative languages this year.

As promised, here is the latest Chairman's Update:

http://www.shadowera.com/showthread.php?40237-Chairman-s-Update-4

I'll paste it all below as well, but I can't guarantee it will all look the same on this forum:

------------

Hi, everyone!

It's been a while since I did one of these in my capacity as official spokesperson for the Board of Directors, but hopefully you've been seeing our many developer updates in the mean time. If not, many are linked within the items below, so let's get started ...

PROGRESS SINCE LAST UPDATE

1. We released v3.521 containing balance changes, bug fixes and 13 new Campaign cards in time for World Championships 2017. This was not on the Development Roadmap announced in the last update because we wanted this to be a nice surprise for everyone. As far as we can tell, it was! Smiley

2. The World Championships 2017 Regionals, Wildcards and Grand Finals went very well on v3.521. Most of the events were streamed on Twitch, where all of the streams are available as recordings. Congratulations to BP AmberFade for becoming our new World Champion and thanks to everyone who took part and helped make it a really thrilling occasion.

3. We have appointed more in-game chat moderators and created a Welcome channel on Telegram with an easy-to-remember public link (shadowera.com/telegram) to make it easier for players to join our community, which has been shared on Facebook/Twitter. Thanks to everyone who is helping make our community such a great place to be!

4. We made improvements to the Rated Multiplayer mode in November, including giving a random foil for each 20 wins per hero and per-hero tracking of win-streaks and total wins within the app. In December, we added a public leaderboard for streaks and total wins per hero. In January, we extended the Best Score Leaderboard to cover the Top 250 players and introduced prizes for places 101-250 in line with this.

5. All Map 1 Dialogue for Call of the Crystals Shadow heroes was released by mid-January, so that now all 20 of the Call of the Crystals heroes have their own story you can play through with their first 10 Campaign missions. (To access them, just have a deck for that hero loaded on the Campaign screen.)

6. The monthly specials (Dark Riding Hood, Bad Santa, Winged Redeemer so far) and multi-pack bundles have led to increased income that we have been investing in artwork for upcoming cards. Speaking of which …

7. Lost Lands Part 2 (LLP2) development has gone very well over the past three months. We have progressively revealed 52 spoilers so far on our forum, Facebook and Twitter to great reception. We are currently doing internal play-testing of the set while we await the delivery of the last few illustrations we've commissioned.

The complete spoiler list can be seen on this page: http://www.shadowera.com/spoilers

PLANS GOING FORWARDS

1. Before the end of February, Lost Lands Part 2 will be available on the Test Server for play-testing by Shadow Token Holders with at least 10 SHDW linked to their game account. If you're unfamiliar with Shadow Tokens, please see http://shadowtoken.io for more details.

2. Work has begun on extending and enhancing our Single Player Campaign offering, which has been revised based on feedback, budget, time and lots of great ideas we've had recently. As part of this, we will also produce a brand new Tutorial, set at a pivotal moment in the Shadow Era timeline, which new players will be guided through to learn the game after signing up.

3. We are launching an innovative event on 1st March to bring more fun, variety, activity and rewards to all our players on Rated Multiplayer, regardless of their skills, experience or card pool. Speaking of March …

4. LLP2 will be out by the end of March in v3.53, with all the new cards being added to the Lost Lands booster pack (as well as available in the Merchant for Gold from the day of release).

5. Our Steam launch is intentionally delayed so we can improve some areas of the game client to make a stronger first impression to a new audience, and be further along with the development discussed here when they arrive.

6. We're very pleased to announce that we have set an Autumn/Fall (Oct/Nov) release date for Lost Lands Part 3, meaning that the full 200-card set of Lost Lands will be complete before World Championships 2018.

OTHER NEWS

1. Kevin Massey (Keaven) has decided to leave the Board of Directors, to focus on his full-time job, but expects to return as a player again in the future.

2. Nik Pokimica (Veles) and Joseph Cook (SK Phantom) have joined the Board of Directors. Nik will be taking a very active role with the design of LLP3 mentioned above, leading a newly formed Design Team (who will be announced in the next few days); Joseph has already been very active as our superstar in Customer Support and will continue to do that very important role, which helps us stay responsive to customers and means we get excellent visibility of any issues players are reporting.

3. We were so pleased with the dialogue produced for the Shadow hero campaigns, their author has been appointed as our new Lead Writer, to tackle all remaining campaign story and dialogue and collaborate with the Design Team on story/lore for our expansions too. To make himself available to interact with everyone on lore-related matters (like NachyoChez used to), he has just signed up on the forum as Raverstar and will likely introduce himself shortly.

4. In case you aren't aware, the first two sets of Shadow Era are available in Physical form on our online store. Whether you have someone in mind to play with or just want a collectible memento to hold in your hands and show off to your friends and family, the physical cards are a great way to support our game and also get yourself Shadow Crystals. (Each booster pack contains a redeem code worth between 100-200 Shadow Crystals that you can redeem here: http://game.shadowera.com/redeem.php).

We hope you find the above encouraging and exciting! As always, if you have any questions or comments, please send add them below or contact us via Facebook/Twitter/Telegram.

Thanks for reading and best wishes to you! Smiley

I also thought the project was that and it was surprising to see an update. I'm not watching the price anymore though.

It's been $0.08-$0.12 the past few days at decent volume. So if anyone wants out ASAP, then go for it. Considering they were originally sold at $0.05, that's not a bad return at all for six months.

https://yobit.net/en/trade/SHDW/BTC

But you might regret it, since we're on a good trajectory now and will keep adding more content and more players from here.  Once we have invested enough income in the development pipeline to keep updates flowing at the pace people want, there should be profit-sharing too. We also have $750,000 of physical card stock to get income from when sold and there's the upcoming Steam launch too. I'm keeping as many of my tokens as I can, with just a few sold to pay the bills!

What's your twitter account? It should be in the ANN, on your website and on CoinMarketCap!

Thanks for the suggestion on this. I've used the Request form to send over links to our Twitter account (https://twitter.com/ishadowera?lang=en), Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ShadowEraCommunity) and official website (http://www.shadowera.com).

If you are interested in seeing the new cards, here's a handy page with all the spoilers for our new cards on it: http://www.shadowera.com/spoilers

I'll quote some text from there too in case people don't like following links:

"Lost Lands Part 2 Spoilers

Lost Lands Part 2 (LLP2) will be released in March 2018, consisting of 67 new cards that will be added to Lost Lands booster packs.

Since some players may have all the LLP1 cards they want already, all LLP2 cards will be available from the in-game Merchant for Gold at launch.

As part of the build up to that launch, we have been revealing a spoiler each day on our Facebook page and here.

...

Lost Lands Part 2 Pre-Release Access

When all 67 cards have been revealed above, the Test Server will be opened for use by ShadowToken (SHDW) holders.

Anyone with at least 10 SHDW linked to their game account will be granted access and have a complete playset to use until the live release.

Further details will be shared once the Test Server is open."

Final note: I've noticed the volume and price increase heavily the past few days. I don't know if this is coincidence or due to people seeing our progress being made, but it's an encouraging sign regardless.

Thanks for the update, I really thought this was dead.

I hope you do understand this is the main hub forum for anything Cryptocurrency related? And people have invested in your project, they would like to be kept up to date with news and developments. And if this had been done, no one would have accused the project for being dead in the first place.

Maybe it's an idea to give a bi-weekly update on the state of the project, upcoming new cards, statistics etc. It also keeps this thread more active which in turn gets more people interested in your game and your token, win-win situation.

Just checked the Twitter, quite some updates there, nice to see there are things going on.

Hi. Thank you very much for the feedback. I agree with you entirely.

The reason we didn't post here for so long was because the creator of the ICO (original owner of the game), who posts here as ShadowEra, was running this ICO and interacting with you folks and sponsoring the signature campaign and so on. He asked us on the new Board of Directors not to post here, especially when that troll called ShadowToken was making this thread so toxic. I figured that people would find our official channels for updates, but alas they didn't. When I realised this and had some decent news to share in November after a pretty tough first few months of ramp-up, I made that post in November pointing people at the right places, but only wanted to make it one post because ShadowToken had made this place even worse, launching personal attacks at me as well as the owner now (even before I had even posted here).

When I saw recently that people seemed to have missed or ignored my post in November, I came back again. From now on, I will post updates here and maybe if ShadowToken returns then some moderator could take action. Honestly, if I knew his real identity, I would take legal action for his libellous claims about me.

There's a Chairman's Update due to go out today on our forum, which I will also post here, so do look out for it.

Hi all. I think it's time some things got cleared up, especially about who the dev team actually are, what we're doing and the future of the SHDW token.

But, before I do that, I should introduce myself. I'm the "forum user" that "shadowtoken" frequently likes to refer to in a very libellous way, mostly by copy-pasting the same unsubstantiated untruths over and over. (I don't know how you do your research, buddy, but it's incredibly flawed. Do you actually believe the lies you are saying about me???)

OK, onto the important stuff now. Here is some information for Token Holders to clear up some of the confusion mostly created by this "shadowtoken" forum user being able to run wild with garbage.

1) The ShadowEra user here is the original owner of the game. He created the SHDW token to be able to sell off his game as his exit strategy after 6 years of ownership, but in such a way that the game could continue and actually flourish. How is that going so far? We'll get to that in a minute.

2) The Board of Directors are indeed all "forum users" (as "shadowtoken" likes to refer to us), but then so is everyone here. I don't know why that could even be portrayed as a bad thing. We are all real people, as shown by the Whitepaper, bringing different things to the table. It's not like we are anonymous people hiding behind a forum name to post untruths to serve an unknown agenda! That would be pretty terrible, don't you think? That kind of behaviour should probably just be ignored or blocked with a ban, I reckon ...

3) Since the Board of Directors was formed on August 1st, I've been making Chairman's Update posts on our official forum, on behalf of the Board of Directors as a whole, which also get converted into articles that you can see on the front page of shadowera.com. They represent a very clear summary of what we've achieved so far and where we are going. I am guessing most people here have not seen them or you would not be referring to SHDW as a dead coin and dead project. Lots has been happening!

4) There are no profits to be shared at the moment because we are investing our income in development to get the game back on track. When we took over, no new cards or balance changes had hit since March, making it a total of eight months so far that the game stayed exactly the same in terms of cards available to play with. There were 28 cards coded and ready for release, but they had no art, so we have been paying for that so we can release them finally. (Some of that art has been shared in our Chairman's Updates.)

5) Since the 28 cards mentioned above are part of a 67-card set, which we have announced as due for release in Q1 2018, we decided it was worth bringing out some new cards as part of our Campaign set ASAP, which have been announced and released for public play-testing over the course of the last week. Feedback from players on our forum and Facebook has been very positive. By improving the overall sentiment of the game, we will see activity and income rise further, and then it will be the right time to start investing in marketing.

Hopefully that helps to show this is not a dead project or dead coin. I have currently 9% of the tokens and intend to make them worth a lot of money. But, more importantly, I want Shadow Era to live up to its full potential and become the huge game it should be. We are on a very good trajectory for achieving that right now!

In terms of future communication, I do not intend to post here again. I just wanted to let you know there are official places for information (as covered above) and that you can contact us on the Board of Directors at any time. Personally speaking, I try to make myself very very accessible on our forum (both in public posts and private messages), in our game chat lobby and private messaging, in our group chats on Telegram, via the Facebook page (Shadow Era Official) and by email.

For those of you still holding tokens who are watching this thread, it would be really good if you could quote this post to respond to anyone looking for information.

Many thanks for reading all this and best wishes to you all.

I really wanted to stick to my intention of not posting here again, but I think a lot of people must have missed my post above, so I'm quoting it for those that might need some pointers about where to get information.

We have been doing plenty of updates on the official forum and Facebook and in our telegram channels.

This thread on bitcointalk is not where you should be seeking your ONLY information.

For example, it appears as though no one here is aware that there are 67 new cards due for release in Lost Lands Part 2 in March 2018 (or that 13 new ones came out in November). We've been posting spoilers of LLP2 cards on our official forum, Facebook and Twitter. Almost all these cards have had art specifically commissioned for them (unless we had some appropriate artwork already licensed) and they are looking fantastic. But don't take my word for it, check them out for yourself: http://www.shadowera.com/showthread.php?40157-New-Lost-Lands-Part-2-Spoilers!

I can't believe people are calling this a dead coin, when there is actually some monetary value behind the coin in the form of all the IP (characters, artwork, code, lore, card design, etc.) and physical card stock. It's because of this that SHDW has acted as a safe haven during this period of crypto volatility: the USD value of SHDW has stayed roughly at $0.05 since the ICO. Anyone with about 2000 SHDW has also benefitted from having all their cards auto-foiled within the game as well, and anyone with $15 worth of SHDW gets a daily ShadowCrystal log-in bonus that can be accumulated and spent on the new cards when they come out in March (or the new Campaign cards we already brought out in November).

OK, that's enough from me. Hopefully, I don't have to post here again, but I will come back if there are more posts of people claiming there's no news or development happening.

Best wishes to you all!

ShadowToken, as it has been said, price increases and falling fluctuations are relatively small compared with other coins. Is this an advantage or a weakness in the end?

Price does not fluctuate here because the volume is very low, sad to say it's close to no volume as we are not in big exchanges.
Also, if don't say that the price has not fall because https://coinmarketcap.com/ never lies, just check the picture below.

Maybe it has a future but for now, the figures are not really good.

And actually there is no reason to getting high. No word from anyone, almost everybody excepted it as a bad investment.

That sound very sad to me! Lost on this project

How much was the loss incurred by you and did you try to dump the remaining to make for with the rest of the amount? It was already warned at the start of investing in this project by many but not all cared about this.

YEs there was a user in here warning but unfortunately many of people didn't listen him.
Its the peoples fault and there's nothing to blame as from the start you should know the project before investing and im not going in any game platform because i think it will only big if its like the edgeless no more no less they are the most successful gambling that run an Ico before. In addition the waves platform which is not good because too many ICO now that use it becomes a hassle in deal ing with volatility and development.
