C20 did set a standards which is quite good ... we are a 15 year established licensed asset manager with license im liechtenstein and Luxembourg ... www.salusalpha-sicav.com , www.salusalpha.comIn the traditional space Eg prospectuses read all the same .... so this is for me not the crucial part... for us crucial is how we allocate and the thesis .... this is the part you should focus and we are happy to talk about the Smarter Than Beta as we go heavy against C20 thesis of being a passive index fund.... we hope to educate the community on investing ... and  give back the education we have received from the crypto space (including c20). Our Backtest started on the 31st of Juli 2014 and not in June 2016. Neither in the whitepaper, nor in the backtest we did avoid crypto winter 2014/15 were the market lost 90%. We are an active ETF (Smarter than Beta strategy) and not a passive ETF.

Why is STC better than passive Top 20?
The only logical way to mitigate risk in the asset class crypto is to go towards cash. The optimal parameters for the portfolio and rebalancing methodology were carefully determined via a structured data science approach. A cryptocurrency portfolio consisting of the top 20 coins by market capitalization, with weekly rebalancing and a component cap of 20% produces a combination that has broad market exposure and acceptable turnover without allowing a single asset, and thus single source of risk, to dominate.  SMARTERT THAN CRYPTO's strategy is able to avoid market losses due to not forcing full investment but at the same time is able to outperform the market due to efficient portfolio construction. A clear and blatant copy of crypto20 - even down to the slider on their website where you can compare your investment to BTC over time. They didnt even bother to change the wordings in their FAQs. Stay well away guys!
