"Hi Everyone great to be here. I hope that Covid did not impact any of you much.
This time with questions I got also priorities of questions so I will be taking those in according to priorities:
Q: What is the criteria for an auction to be declared completed? and how long does it take to complete auction?
There are 3 main stages:
Term sheet stage, and indicative proposal of price while accepting key points of sale such as quantity, period, start of energy delivery and so on.
How long does this stage take - depends on the interest of parties and their timing to buy or sell. 2-4 weeks if all is right to get the proposals
in with a confirmation who goes to next stage.
PPA stage - a longer process, outside WePower it usually takes 1,5 year, but is can be as short as 1 month to get lawyers confirm
the PPA with contract adjustable points on contract securities and financial support when/if needed due to high standartization of contract.
Post agreed PPA which is a contract for long term sales of electricity we arrive to the last stage of FInancial close.
This is the part where the contract goes to the bank for confirmation along side financing request for a Solar or Wind farm.
If the developer financed such projects before it can be very fast - 1 - 2 month, if not it can take much longer.
Once confirmed PPA becomes active as financial close is one of the contract clauses.
Q: How many questons are incompatible with WePower business and how many compatible?
China is one for example, although it is moving towards an open market it is not there yet with it's local markets today.
In general any market that has an operational market exchange where the price is set for contract reference is ok for WePower to operate.
So Australia, Japan, Europe, US, Latam countires are all fine.
Q:On May 2020 re question What about WPR lease feature to companies and why lease not buy my answer was that lease is a better function and simplicity is a way to go.
I stand by that, it is now that there is investment to crypto by Tesla or Square that builds that trust of corporates but thus far to Bitcoin only.
Companies that use the product all the time can get confortable with the idea to buy and hold as it could be their daily operation and instead
of paying for the service just own. On the other hand lending could be represented on the books as services wich is very easy to explain to accounting.
Much simpler solution.
Q: On May 2020AMA I explained that 3 transactions are required to be compleated for the donation Pool to be activated. Why is it still not active.
Yes, transactions are done, with 2 transaction awaiting financial close, once done, will be good to go.
There was a dip in speed of project financing due to high price fluctuation, with more market clarity right now thing started to speed up.
Q: It is important to follow the progress of companies, when donation pool will be opened, will it be possible to track the progress of ongoing and predicted transactions?
To a certain extent yes, there is allot of sensitive information that can't be publicly disclosed untill the transaction is done,
we ourselves would like to have that as it is a great marketing tool too. We hope that at some point we will be able to show how
many transactions are in progress and so on, at least that is the idea.
Q: Would be interesting to to hear the advantages brought by WPR team during all the pilot programs that they had thus far.
Poc's and Pilots are a cool revenue generating activity for a short period of time. they are very interesting from
a development perspective as they are designed to find new business cases and understand how and when these cases
could bring value to the parties involved and the market. We have developed cool thing with Tepco, CLP, SPgroup, all of them
were amazing proof of thech and we are looking forward to continue edveloped models when the time is right in their respective markets.
Q: Are you moving forward to entering European markets, or in another continent? If so can you detail?
Yes, post Australia we are lazer focused on Europe and we belive we have found excelent partners with whom we can start and
grow this year and prepare for the next. Most important thing is that we see that what we do resonates with the market allot and this
solution is required in Europe and other markets.
Q: What is the average contract size in dollars per year? And how many potential contracts are in the Australian market?
Last year Australian market has contracted 1,8GW of new capacity worth arround 1,5B, average size is 10-60mil in size with some
larger contracts present too.
Q: On December 22 you mentioned that Ethereum is an integral part of the WePower. Maybe possible a little more in detail. For example, whether fluctuating transaction prices affect We Power platform features and have a negative impact on contracts.
Ethereum price fluctuations have negligible impact on our operations, and we do not see it as a challenge, the network itself
provides a robust and secure storage of information for the duration of the issued contracts. 2.0 will be a huge improvement but again
little impact on operations.
Q: On March 2020 during the AMA. You mentioned that platform still in the development stage by focusing on making transactions smoother. And a better experience for buyer and seller. Please update.
Good one, it will always be in development 🙂 as we work closely with participants, additional functionalities are requested based on
customer feedback as well as changes for smoother marketplace operations are requested, depending on urgency of requests and their
alignment with our development roadmap these platform evolutions are getting implemented. The platform is constantly evolving.
