Our CEO is Jen Greyson. In March she was voted among Chipin's "Top 8 Women in Cryptocurrency." She brings over a decade of business experience running a multi-million dollar life insurance company, and another decade running a publishing company, where she specialized in intellectual property, turning dreams into functional businesses.
Our Chief Architect is Wil Bown. He has been programming for over 30 years, has been programming blockchain projects since 2011, and won first prize at the 2015 Texas Blockchain Hackathon with a working prototype of Neureal. This entitled him to $500,000 in investment if he was able to launch an ICO by the end of 2015. (This prototype has since been developed further into our current "Minimum Usable Version") Wil was, unfortunately, unable to get a team together to capitalize on this opportunity. He has spent the last few years building a team, making connections, and planning a strategy to ensure the project's success long after its Token Generation Event.

https://neureal.net/teamNeureal itself is a platform which allows anyone to approach the network with something they want to be predicted, Live data streams they believe will be relevant to that prediction, and a reward for the most accurate predictor (in our currency of Neurons). From there, predictive algorithms, neural networks, human-powered/augmented prediction markets, and even new kinds of predictors not yet invented compete to give the most accurate prediction. This competition has a number of advantages over existing models. For example, it ensures the most accurate predictor available is used to make the prediction every time, incentivizes the further development of new predictive algorithms/techniques and drives the constant refinement of existing ones, and makes the whole thing easier and cheaper for all.
This makes Neureal a very eloquent answer to the question, "What is being done about all the power waste in crypto?" With Neureal the computing power is used to make useful predictions for individuals and businesses rather than trying to find a useless nonce. This also creates a market for the projects currently trying to make it possible for individuals to regain control of their data and put it to benefit from it themselves.
Our legal team is working closely with the SEC and FinCEN to ensure we follow all applicable guidelines, and many have said our approach in this regard is one other blockchain projects will want to look at going forward.
We have put a lot of thought into solving problems often encountered by blockchain projects around initial distribution and accountability, and hope to set a new standard in the space with some tools we are using in our Token Generation Event (TGE). First, we will be using with what we call the "Maximum Distribution Protocol." There will be a very small minimum purchase for our Token Generation Event (likely $1-2 more than our KYC fee) each KYC'd customer gets to whitelist one address and each address gets a single buy order for the whole month the TGE is running. Tokens are distributed in hourly buckets of 1.233333 Mil. Tokens in the first bucket are priced the same as the presale (0.07 per) and will rise by $0.0037 if a bucket is sold out. Buy orders are processed in the order they are received. If a buy order purchases the last token in a given bucket then the remainder of that order is placed at the back of the line. The helps alleviate the pressure of whales trying to scoop up all the cheap tokens and gives the little guys a "fair bite at the apple" so to speak.
Next comes what we are calling our "Accountability Protocol" All Neureal tokens will be locked in their wallets at the end of the TGE. As a part of this token lock, we don't get access to the ETH we raise. Instead, we get predetermined disbursements given at milestones in the development cycle. At each of these milestones, a vote is held. It's not a vote to give us the funds, but rather the opportunity for a vote of no confidence in our team or the direction we are going. If the community votes no confidence, all remaining ETH will be refunded to token holders in proportion to how much they put in. This makes it impossible for us to run off with the funds and makes it possible for our community to the team accountable to fulfilling the initial vision instead of doing whatever we want after we raise the funds. Additionally, one of the worst things you can possibly do to a startup is drowned it in funds, this makes it so the team is far less creative in solving problems and stretching funds. Instead, teams in this situation most often feel comfortable just throwing money at problems. This has lead to the deaths of many projects and is exactly the situation ICOs and blockchain project thus far have put themselves in.
