I’d like somebody to explain me, please, why the CREDITS developers decided to abandon the use of the Merkle tree in the registry database? I think this is a very bad idea, which will lead to a decrease in the quality of the service and increase fraudulent activities!
The developers refused the Merkla tree because of the principle of its work. If the registry will work with Merkle trees, then the processing speed of transactions will significantly decrease, but the load on computing resources will increase. Developers of CREDITS just came to the conclusion that such an option is irrational.
And what alternative does the service offer? In my opinion, replacing the Mercle trees is not so simple.
And CREDITS developers came up with a very interesting alternative! The platform will use a transaction register in which each entry will consist of a hash of the transaction block to be added to the roster's list of candidates.
