Yes Gold has proved to b very resilient and hard to replace. In 1971 when President Nixon removed the Gold standard from the dollar, like you said @basil, we could call that an attempt to replace gold and that attempt failed greatly because since then, the dollar has lost 98% of its value while gold keeps gaining.
When you look at what gold is trading at - under $1,300/oz. It’s been lower for more than seven years after it reached all-time highs in 2011 and some pundits are still predicting $10,000 an ounce or more. So basically, gold is now trading at a 35% discount from its previous high. It is truly a bargain in a world laden with record levels of debt and artificially inflated financial assets. So this is a perfect token to be involved with

I know about strategic partnership and I that this project brings good working conditions, fair wages and sometype of socio and economic stability to a cash-strapped Zimbabwe, who's economy faces challenges. One more point to be in love with Goldma
Talking about Zimbabwe, there aren't many or any good crypto projects in Zimbabwe so if this one is successful which i'm sure it will be, then the doors will open for other crypto experts in Zimbabwe to create their own projects and push the country forwards economically. Investors see this as a safe ICO in a market full of scam and failed projects. This one is backed by a real gold mine so it easily met the soft cap. With this in mind, other investors will join in as they know it will definitely proceed and deliver great profits. They have until October but it might even meet the hard cap before that
