ICOStop, a ICO brokerage platform based in Singapore. We are currently at the end of our development stage, and plan to launch our first project next month.
While there are quite a few ICO brokerage platforms in operation right now, there are certain difficulties and inconveniences investors face. ICOStop aims to eliminate these difficulties and provide a simpler and safer investment gateway for the general public.
ICOStop aims to solve these two major problems:- Complicated participation process and inconvenient user interface
- Reducing the risks involving fake ICO projects
With more than 10 new ICO projects coming out every day, the overall ICO investment landscape is setting the bar higher than ever for regular investors to participate in. There are simply way too many ICOs claiming to be the next Ethereum or Bitcoin with nothing but empty promises and an unreasonably long roadmap. Aside from this fact, investors often times have a difficult time figuring out a way to participate in certain ICOs they would like to be a part of because of the complicated user interface and long KYC processes.
Problem 1: Complicated process and inconvenient user interfaceInvestments should of course be made at the investor’s own discretion and therefore should only be done after extensive research. However, that does not mean participation should be complicated. ICOStop plans to eliminate any difficulties or complications users might face during the participation process through providing a simple and convenient user interface. User experience is only second-hand to the functionality of the platform itself — ICOStop provides both.
Solution: Simple user interface and seamless user experienceProviding a seamless platform will allow investors to put more time in what is actually necessary on their part (i.e. researching projects, focusing on their full-time jobs). ICOStop provides as much as we can on the platform’s side.
KYC process will be simplified without the need of submitting proof of address. Instead, we will have ID/Passport submission and selfie submission. Any agreement documents that need to be signed can be done electronically without having to physically print out the form and scan it before uploading.
Problem 2: Risks involving fake ICO projectsMaking investments can award people with high returns, but not without risks. While it is impossible for people to completely eliminate the risk of losing their money in an investment, there are certain actions an investor can take in order to reduce the risks as much as possible.
ICO investment, compared to traditional investment in the financial market, can be considered very difficult and dangerous.
Two of the biggest concerns involving ICO investment:- Counter-party risk such as hacking and DDOS attacks
- Investing in scam projects that end up taking off with your money
Of course, these risks can be reduced if an investor puts in time to do some extensive research about the project. However, most people have other full-time jobs to take care of, and constantly keeping up with the overall landscape of blockchain industry and countless new ICOs can become much of a hassle. Even if someone has the time to do some research, it is becoming much more difficult for regular investors to really figure out the potential dangers involved in certain projects.
Solution: Preliminary ICO screeningOur team members at ICOStop have accumulated years of experience in cryptocurrency investment as well as the traditional financial market. Many ICO platforms tend to bring in as many ICOs as possible without the proper measurements needed in order to really figure out what businesses are actually run transparently and what developers actually are willing to bring forward.
ICOStop conducts preliminary ICO screening through personally getting in touch with the development and management teams of potential ICO clients and meet with them in person to really touch basis in a professional and personal matter. While this does not completely guarantee the integrity of the project or the promises made by the development team, this effort certainly greatly reduces the possibility of investing in fake ICO projects.
ICO investments can indeed bring high returns for investors, but it is essential that all investors take all possible precautions before taking any action. ICOStop aims to reduce the time and effort investors normally need to put in order to reduce this risk through providing
convenience, transparency, and security on our side.
Our first project will launch in November. Please follow our blog for more details and updates regarding the platform.medium.com/@icostop
