Not too surprised that there hasn't been a response from the developer after my post.
I would also be curious if somebody traces down the 10 million USD worth that the original developer has. Does he still have it?
What are you talking about mate?
This coin "based on a stolen ip"?
Do you even know how cryptocurrency works?
Yes. Did you even read my previous post? Do you even know how licenses work? This is a straight up copy of another project. The license was changed at the top of a file to a different owner. The code wasn't even changed. It is similar to stealing a car off a Toyota lot, changing the logo to claim you designed it and selling it to somebody else. So do you even know what you are buying when you purchase this coin?
Like I said, I am not a lawyer, but this is a clear violation of license. And more importantly to me an indication about the future of the project. I am fairly confident that the will be no new innovation on the project. Professional software developers would take this seriously.
If you think that open source means you can do whatever you want you are wrong. Open source license violations lawsuits and litigation is a thing. Just do a little google searching. I didn't create the work myself, but if I did and somebody else used my work and claimed they created it, made ten million, gave it to somebody else who also made money, then their would be a lawsuit on everyone with any connection to the stolen work.
Somebody should trace the pre-mined coins and let me know what you find. I could do it but I'm not interest in investing more time. Just want to watch for entertainment.
It's not important if the code is copied, the license is free of open source, no law is violated, there are many currencies that are focusing on different markets, for all the sun rises, look Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, who also only copied, however, transformed the computer world.
Here the important thing is to follow the road map as has been done since the beginning, now is developing the mobile wallets for ios and android and promoting expansion campaigns in the market as planned, this means that the price is going up day by day, that's the really important thing
There is absolutely a license violation in this case. The license exists for a reason. I will put another link to the two files below. Do your own google search for MIT license and lawsuits on open source license violations. The rightful owner's of the copywriter will have a claim on anything related.
I agree with your comment about the road map and is part of my point. If the developer copied code, violated licenses, pretended the work was theirs then I don't believe any of the road map. Check the source. There has been no new code by the developers since the stolen work. I can easily be proven wrong with a few steps. Come clean and admit all current work was copied and fix license issues. Check in any new code that is not stolen.
the important part is at the top of the file. Declaring the copywrite holder.
