Have faith everyone. This isn't a shit coin. Not even close. I believe Omahapoker is correct in thinking the niche for this coin is gambling online. I'm not a casino gamer at all, but I know how massively popular it is. We'll be on mintpal soon enough, and I know more gaming sites are in the works. The price is likely down from early miners panic selling. It's not uncommon for early miners to be quite stacked. Take a look at black coin or especially dark coin. Before dark coin had dark send (anonymity), it was interesting, but nothing special. Before the fork that slowed it down a bit, it even surpassed Litecoin. That is fucking amazing.
Tl;Dr, enjoy the low price while it lasts to stock up on some JPC before it secures it's defining characteristic that gave it value. Once the community at large understands a coins purpose, the value shoots way up.
Edit: BTC to USD is up above $620 on coinbase. I suspect a lot of fiat dumping too is effecting every coin more or less. It's just the nature of the business. Those that are shortsighted or simply need the fiat at the moment are cashing out hard. Again, use this to your advantage and buy your favorite coins cheaply
i agree i stated way back on page 10 a gambling site was needed big time and created a topic asking for one in Main
and then i asked the dev if he had a bounty for it and he said yes
sadly i have not used JPC to do any site gambling though
i had a few million but sold them all waaaay back for a low price lol
i got nervous the price was not looking good and exchanges were resisting adding it sooo much
ahh well what ya gonna do lol
i do have like 110k now though and i got my first 313 coins stake finally from them (about 89k went into stake)
took a couple days of leaving my wallet open that is about it..
it was not like when i had like 2/3 million though i was getting lots of stake back then early in the coins life.
i am no smart guy with POS coin stuff so i dunno what to say.. it works i think so..
i noticed the MiningPoolHub pool now reports it's own different network hash rate based on what i have no idea..
my wallet just said 56GH/s roughly and the pool said 7.5GH/s roughly..
i get the feeling people are simply making up the data because well they want to lol
If there is something wrong with the net hash calc in the wallet / daemon etc then it should be fixed..
we don't need pools etc making up random numbers !
I've stated lots how the algo this coin uses is not like scrypt for example.
But many users are simply saying the number HAVE to false because they are too high
who says ? I have worked on the code for the miner..
When you do more hashes it means your hash rate is higher.. it's a rather simple concept lol
Then when you factor in how much hashing gets done on ccminer users then hell yeah i could imagine 56GH/s
AGAIN i am not talking about 56 gh on scrypt.. this ain't scrypt.
And i agree with the ALLCRYPT guy earlier.. it DOES matter if bits of coins are getting lost.
Would be nice to see the dev look into doing something to fix that up.. or at least look into the issue etc
anyway i guess i will join the band wagon and start making up my own network hash rates too lol
It's now 2MH/s
