all that will happen is it will do more harm than good.
POS only coins are dead .
Kill off the mining motivation and your will regret it i think
and MiningPoolHub guy who gets every jackpot if your so worried about it being fair why did you open registrations back up a while ago ?
and further more it would require no effort at all to boot off some of your miners to keep the pools even ..but you don't (for obvious reasons)
don't want the fee's ? want to make the coin better ? want to make it more fair ? then hey what is stopping you from restricting your pool
and forcing people to go to another pool that NEEDS the users such as Cloudminers ?
you would rather have the coin forked and changed drastically ? seriously ? that is awfully short sighted and risky
there is always ways to exploit things as a cracker for a decade or two i know.. it's what we do.
so why try a risky method of fixing a problem you guy insist exist even though i previously proved doesn't exist in the first place (and you all happily ignored me)
you know the problem where you closed registrations on a pool then opended them up again ? LOLOLOL
do you guys even get basic logic or common sense or what hahhah
and there is NO problem you guys are blind and can't see the obvious.....
2gh/s max avg on one pool vs 20 to 30gh/s on the network........
there is no problem...............
want me to list coins THAT DO suffer from the problem your inferring ? such as Secure Coin (SRC) where 99% of net hash is on ONE pool ?
if it ain't broke DON'T FIX IT !
and pool operators try exercising some responsibility and not blaming the coin dev.. if too many people are on your pool YOU do something about
rather than blaming the coin dev... something tells me your going to come here and say a bunch of shit and then do whatever and happily collect fee's though lol
Crypto 101... play the good guy at Bitcointalk then wander off and MAKE MONEY ..classic
Sorry that I didn't reply to this post.
Actually, I didn't see it. That's all. I accidently saw this post from my mobile smartphone and booted my computer to reply.
I don't ignore anyone. I just can't read all thread on this forum.
PM me if you wrote something about me.
1. The reason why I like to see PoS jackpot block.
I might pushed dev to change jackpot block only to PoS. But originally it wasn't my idea though.
Someone in this forum posted PoS only jackpot first and I imagined that situation. It looks good I think.
Do you know who got jackpot recently?
All jackpot blocks were found in my pool. I know who got the jackpot. It was all high hashpower users.
Do you think this is lucky thing? No. The probability of jackpot block finding is according to their hashpower.
Maybe some other low hash user can find the jackpot sometimes, but in a long term most of jackpot coins will be collected to big GPU farm owners.
This is nothing related to luck, it's just investment.
They push in big hashes and they get the jackpot as expected.
Richer getting more richer is natural in our world, but with Jackpotcoin it will get much more imbalance than you think.
I don't think GPU farm owners will exchange coins for real life when they find jackpot. It's not good for coin environment too.
Coin spread to small individuals seems much beautiful, closer to lucky thing isn't it?
I didn't insist PoS only coin. I like hybrid. Many times I saw hybrid structure is better.
PoW mining for normal, PoS for jackpot lucky mining is good I think.
Tell me the solution for this "imbalance luck" which the high hash power users winning world.
This problem doesn't seem to big, but at some point this potential problem will rise up.
2. About Pool
I opened jackpotcoin pool registration time to time. I agree. I don't lie.
At some point, our pool hashrate dropped much and I thought it's okay to open for a while.
And sometimes someone requested invitation to that pool so I opened it for some time.
Actually hash didn't get bigger or smaller by registration opening. Miners used to rarely move pools.
I ran many coin pools, tried to get miners from other pools but much of them didn't come.
Vice versa, even if I raise my pool fee upto 3% today, more than half of the miners will not move to other pools.
I learned it from running many coin pools. Miners don't check their pool homepage frequently, they don't like to change settings for each miners.
Some of them are running more than 50 miner rigs and they don't like to change each of their settings.
Pool hashrate is accurate for most of times, but net hashrate is not.
I think it varies much because of PoS. I'm not sure that PoS is affecting this problem, just guessing.
Better estimation is looking at the "Blocks" page and see "Rate Est."
This just shows calculated expected blocks to find at certain time, and shows how many blocks this pool found.
Currently my pool got 45.56% for Last 24 hours, so I can expect that this pool is running just about half of hashrate.
3. Dev team.
What do you mean I blamed?
I like them, we talked each other frequently even before the pool launch. Dev team answered quickly and helped me much.
Sorry if something seemed like I was blaming, or seemed like pushing dev to make PoS jackpot... or anything.
I really appreciate to dev team.
Maybe since English is not my mother tongue, some sentences would sound blaming. Sorry but I didn't intend to blame really.
Tell me the sentence so I can fix myself.
4. Jackpot coin.
I really want to see Jackpotcoin rise.
This is why I insist PoS jackpot. Actually by thinking about pool fee, PoW jackpot is much more helpful for me. You get it?
I saw many PoS coins die, but jackpotcoin has PoW/PoS hybrid concept with super fast confirmations.
Just changing PoW jackpot block to PoS jackpot block doesn't mean changing whole fundamental or break internal things.
PoW Mining continues for normal people.
I think Jackpotcoin can become next Darkcoin.
I am now even satisfy with current jackpotcoin. I don't insist that dev must change to PoS jackpot.
Just suggesting an idea.
I think I can suggest idea.
