I should really stop reading this thread before going to bed...i can't stop and finally go after an hour or so every time! Great stuff...really really great stuff!! Don't know what to choose to comment on! Kosmost you are a hopeless dreamer mate...but i'm with you all the way! Let's change this place called New World..

Edit: i always was and stil am a miner. I have never bought BTC. Can someone guide me to the easiest or best-safest way to do so please? Thanks a lot.

mh, I would say it depends on your location wrt to buying BTC. If you are in Europe: Kraken is your choice. I use Sepa and sometimes my euro are there within 12 hours. There you easily buy BTC or LTC. Then, transfer to Mintpal and buy your Karma. If you have more questions, please ask!

Just buy a 16GB Class 10 card from a nice brand to use with your Raspberry Pi.
You can get one for 10 dollars.

i take your point its easy enough to upgrade if you need more space.

Do Linux wallets work on a Raspberry Pi with ARCH LINUX? Thanks.

it should do because I think bitcoin does and its based on bitcoin/litecoin code.

you will probably need to compile the source.

the biggest issue will be storage..

right now the blockchain is only 370 or so MB so not much of an issue.. but as times goes by and if the coin becomes more popular you can expect it to be several GB.

all pool are scrypt. how to miner x11?

karma.mpos.altcoin.dk and karma.p2pool.altcoin.dk will switch to x11 on block 240k.

edit: it will switch on whatever block is decided is the fork. we're on block 239066 which means 240k is less than a day away, so probably not on 240k. does anyone have the exact blocknumber?

The block number has not been announced yet. The dev testing the X11 ran into an issue he has been trying to fix. So we will not have a transition block until everything is 100% and he gives us the thumbs up.

Dear Karma community,
The community has voted for a small fundraiser for an organization fighting against sex slavery in the US.  We start with a very small amount (4 mio Karma) in order to not negatively impact prices. We might do a second round of funding if the community likes to do so.

This is the organization: http://www.savinginnocence.org/
Here is the poll: http://karmashares.com/forums/index.php/topic,437.0.html

The donation address and additional information can be found on http://karmafund.me/

Some users before have the same problem they were using a german based email, the best recourse is to use a gmail address and try again. Thanks for your involvement in Karma.

The Karma X11 Mining Guide can now be downloaded from http://karmashares.com/forums/index.php/topic,490.0.html

Please let us know if you have any suggestions, questions, comments about it. Thanks!

We should publish settings for more GPUs/setups.
Specially the ones that are more popular for mining with the x11 algorith, such as the NVIDIA 750 (TI).

If we create a very well detailed and easy to follow instruction manual/poster for mining Karma, we can even attract non-miners to mine Karma.
As long as we publicize the manual/poster a lot in the forums and/or media, with a short introduction about what is Karma.

We can think of it about a second relaunch of the Karma coin/ecosystem.
We could even talk about some things we are planing for Karma in that poster/manual.

I also think that we should make that x11 mining manual look more professional, by adding well thought graphics (i.e. like a journal/magazine sheet), in order to attract more people to mine Karma (especially the ones that currently do not even know what mining is).
Does anyone here does this kind of work for a publishing company?

Sounds good, please send me your guide when you are done with it, and i will be more than happy to add it/incorporate it to what we already have. We are always open to people taking initiative and helping to pitch in and help build Karma.

Currently I'm very busy with other matters Karma and non-Karma related.
But maybe I will dedicate some time to improve the mining guide.
