Regarding the claims..

Welp. I messed up. I tried to send over 1100+ emails all at once via gmail. Can't send more then 500. probably a daily limit. Will try to send it out again tomorrow.

I made a thread in the Karma forum for all the question and posted the content of the email. If you want to start your claim. the process is described in there. Please ask all your questions there and do not spam this thread.

Who

six people already emailed me. i will get to them soon. cheers

just to clarify. I did not send out the mass email yet since i have to wait few more hours to lift the ban. that forums message was posting thinking that i would be able to send the email already. So if you have not received the email is because it has not gone out yet.

cheers

No block source available, why does my client not pick up other nodes?

Karma config setting
Code:

rpcuser=karmaname
rpcpassword=karmapass
rpcport=9432
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
daemon=1
server=1
addnode=54.234.181.73:9432
addnode=204.246.67.106:9432
addnode=188.165.2.147:9432
addnode=23.254.97.16:9432
addnode=188.226.177.232:9432
addnode=68.5.34.219:9432
addnode=92.222.38.197:9432
addnode=209.188.18.188:9432

For a quick solution to syncing with network
Code:

in your wallet go to help | debug window | console and type in:

addnode 54.234.181.73:9432 add

addnode 204.246.67.106:9432 add

addnode 188.165.2.147:9432 add

addnode 23.254.97.16:9432 add

close the popup window, wait for your wallet to start syncing.Wait up to 15-30 mins

i have noticed this happening to windows wallets.

i believe it is a constant fight between old nodes join the network and throwing the wallet off for a millisecond. then the new nodes disconnect the old nodes.

hence why it shows 0-block instated of other blocks.

In the back end, everything should be working fine. as in you can send and receive coins. You are not on a "fork". You can test it by sending 10 or less coins out and they should be sent out normally.

So its not that you are out of synch. its older nodes trying to connect and while they are looked up for validation they throw your wallet front end off. and they do this constantly..

look at your log files in the karma folder for the bad nodes connecting and disconnecting.

Thank you for the explanation. Maybe its time for an update to block all the old nodes from connecting to the main chain? It seems Comkort is having similair issues Undecided

I hope that I'm in the newest thread:

Last block for KARM wallet has been seen 1 day and 22 hours ago. All operations for KARM disabled untill new block will be found.
https://comkort.com/trade/karm_doge

i am not sure why they are left behind. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/karm/# shows the coin moving well. so does my wallet.

check to see what block count you are on

Hi,

I have a small issue with my wallet.

I downloaded the karma wallet yesterday, fresh blockchain... fresh wallet.dat... everything new...
Added the .conf file for the nodes.. Synced up completely...

Now the issue that keeps coming back is a stuck wallet... Every 2-3 hours I get a "zero hours behind" in the sync bar, and an out of sync message above my balance... After a wallet restart, it syncs up again.... Is this a known issue?

Cheers,

BanzaiBTC

PS

Is there a standalone wallet instead of the installer?

I have the same issue. My karma wallet never sync's and always complains ZERO hour behind. Would you please update me .conf file.

To batesresearch:

We plan to launch only a few Karma coins ourselves (looking at about quarter of a million) and just looking at helping the market flow to improve the coin and its awareness. As we accumulate coins we will be selling them to boost the economy of the coin. NOT DUMPING but appropriate calculated selling as well as heavy investments back into the coin and donations to any good cause that will accept karma coin.

Thanks
- Jon

Excellent good to hear. Karma has a good energy and idea, it also has many dedicated people behind it.
