sorry if this has been answered before, but is there a osx version? thx

Komodo is zcash fork, and all those compiling instructions apply to Komodo which applies to zcash.

If you can find instructions and guides to compile zcash on OS X, then you can also try to compile Komodo on OS X.

I tried it a while ago, and only came across some post on zcash forum which was describing quite tricky ways to compile it on OS X. Give it a go, and let us know how that goes Smiley

ty for the answer. ill have a look, but to be honest, i guess i wont be able to make anything of it Wink

https://forum.z.cash/t/build-zcash-on-os-x/2587/5
mac build - nothing yet - will take time

so komodo is not building their own wallets ? just waiting for others (ZCash) to do it ?
where will all that ICO $$ go then ?
sorry but if you do not get wallets going with a X amount of funding from ICO than ... ??   Huh

u have to remember that jl777 has a terrible reputation in this space
so i suggest to be over transparrent and over deliver as promised !!!
otherwise .....

A reminder about our open job opportunities

We are looking to hire more people after the ICO. If you are interested please send us a message Smiley

[email protected]

We have job openings for fulltime positions.

Our needs are greatest for project management and GUI devs. However, we can also use testers for command line API, windows build specialists and of course C devs.

If you feel you can be a key contributor, please contact @KomodoPlatform

We will be able to pay in BTC and/or KMD. Positions would start at the end of the ICO. The total positions available will depend on the total amount raised.

Trading two weeks after ICO doesn't sound good for investors. It's too soon. I might trade KMD if price fall below ICO.

Looks like very interesting.
Project will start if it raise 10000 BTC or 2000 BTC - no matter? If it will raise only 2000 BTC (forgive me my pessimism) how it affect development? Time ranges? What exchanges will trade this coin?
I heard something that NXT is exchange itself, but i am not using it and don't know how it works.. will KOMODO be an asset or something tradable?
Please tell me how it will be possible to buy\sell KOMODO after ICO?
Thanks.

We have already reached our minimum goal, which was 1000 BTC. With more funding we can ensure that we can setup all 64 notary nodes, and hire a bigger team (faster development).

What is the minimum quantity of BTC that needs to be raised to make the project viable?
It depends on what level of the project you mean. There are the mission critical parts, like paying for bitcoin fees and notary nodes.

1000 would be enough for a reduced bitcoin notarization frequency and smaller number of notary nodes, but not a lot of development.

5000 would allow to have the fastest bitcoin notarization frequency, all 64 notary nodes and staff up a group of C coders and GUI devs fulltime for some years

10000 would allow having many LP nodes all fully funded for the lowest trading spreads and many liquid trading pairs

Above this would allow a warchest that can make opportunistic trades, arbitrages and other means to generate working capital and set up a very long term organization of the above. Along with some large scale marketing. Of course, even at the lower funds raised we will be doing marketing, but with a limited budget.

We cannot know which exchanges will accept us, but we will reach out to the biggest exchanges. No special deals will be made though, so we cannot promise any dates.

Komodo is not an asset, it is a coin with its own blockchain. Nxt has nothing to do with Komodo, Iguana, or SuperNET. However, some SuperNET assets live in the Nxt Asset Exchange.

You can buy and sell KMD after the mainnet has been launched (around 2 weeks after the ICO), and the trading would happen in an exchange like normally.

So, what's gonna happen to the unclaimed KMD amount after the distribution ?
assuming some BTCD holders won't swap for several reasons.
what about lost BTCD coins which can't be swapped?

Those KMD's will be added to the working capital after the one year period.

So, we're talking about another 7000 - 8000 btc that will be added to the ICO after BTCD swap .

I guess BTC ICO Investors will take around 30 % - 50% out of the 90% KMD offered in this ICO.

Good Luck Smiley

How much do you pay someone in fulltime position (approximately)? C Devs for example.

what is the bonus for komodo ICO for now? i only receive 20% extra. does anyone have this problem?

Yes, don't worry, we will manually change it to 25 % later today.

There still is 2 hours 40 minutes left, then the bonus will drop to 20 %

Thanks for clarifying, I was worrying for a moment.

HI, I bought on the 16th and I only receive 20% extra. Did you start manually updating to 25% ?
Thanks

Yes, I do not still see 30% bonus for investing on oct 16th. They said they set it manually for user later.

25% sir not 30% :-)

I think they will manually change it later or sooner?

Yes. I'm wrong . it's 25% bonus. thanks for your correction

unless you are the mysterious investor who invested zero BTC between 250-500 BTC, 30% bonus is unlikely. 25% yes like other said.
