I got my gincoin masternode going. Only one snag getting it set up, but the friendly guys in discord helped me out. Overall a great experience. Got my first payout today! Glad to see you have added $gin as monthly payment option.

We have a lot of... well, strange projects this year. But Merculet is really cool. I see, maybe, ICO crisis now and we can't be calm to our investments, but I am satisfied to see project like this. Hi everyone, we have 2 announcements to make.

1) Hard Fork

Our blockchain needs some tweaks to the diff adjustment algorithm which is very aggressive at the moment, causing very slow blocks.

MN and mining rewards will also be positively impacted by this change, since more blocks will be mined at the right times.

The new code for the difficulty retargeting change is pushed to Github.

To summarize:

- A few parameters change at block height 23750 which we estimate will be reached on Saturday 7 Apr around noon UTC
- It's going to be a hard fork. This means that everybody needs to update their wallet, with emphasis on pool operators and masternode owners
- The masternodes created through the GIN Platform are upgraded automatically by the platform, you do not need to do anything. In the case where your MN becomes NEW_START_REQUIRED, simply restart it from your wallet.
- The update can be already done today, safely
- Although the update is a drop-in replacement of your current GINcoin Core wallet, we recommend a backup of your wallet just in case

2) 3rd-party integrations

 It has come to our attention that some individuals have been asking for a FEE to mediate discussions between our core team and other coins.

We do not condone such behaviour, nor do we charge for integrations with 3rd-party coins. That's not our business model.

It pains us to hear that coin devs might have been duped and charged for something that we provide freely.

If you are a coin dev (or know one), please know that such fee requests do not come from us.



All 3rd-parties requesting payments on behalf of GINcoin or for "putting in a good word with us" should be reported to us immediately.

We're fully aware this might not sit well with some folks and we're prepared to accept the consequences, but we have to stand our ground on this matter - we do not charge coin devs anything for anything, nor do we encourage paying for "influence".



For clarity purposes, we need only for a short while the collateral for a masternode in order to test the first deployment.

Quick update - you can now pay for the platform's services (setup & hosting) in GIN. In a short time, our coin will be the preferred (and possibly only) method of payment.

Looks like a good project with regards to revenue. I will probably take part.

That said...some of the cringe factor really could really be purged...

Comparing MNs to savings accounts (whitepaper)

The term "turnkey" = cringe - a red flag in any venture having to do with any asset.

Its a great service/idea - no reason to extend the verbiage so far as to make it sound like only Dev could activate a MN.

I agree this is an awesome step. Is it truly so easy that a non-technical person can do it?

I thnk this is a brilliant concept and I have purchased my 1000 $gin to make a master node. I'm excited about trying the easy set up on your platform.

This is the first of its kind in being a one-click masternode set-up, very easy system in setting up a masternode with shared MN platform, will surely get some GINcoin to test this one-click masternode.

Masternode on Windows runs without Problems and did not need sentinel.

I've tried in Ubuntu 16.04 2gb, 17.01 2gb and Debian 9.4 2gb,
In all of them the same error.
Any explanation for this error?
It looks like this coin needs Sentinel to keep masternode running, why don't it have a sentinel tutorial on Github?
