sorry lads if i am bitching a lot but the level of incompetence infuriates me.

This is the only guide you need if you are on mac or windows.

?? I am on windows. What guide please?

https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-docs/DockerInstall

I can't get this to work properly. I'm using windows obviously. After I load what looks like possbly the blockchain and move to the next step I get an error message that it can't open the file or something.

You can use http://40.68.214.86:8000/ to access your wallet. Its secure, is one of the official nodes.

LiskHQ canyou please confrm?

Download the linux binary at https://downloads.lisk.io/lisk/main/0.3.0/ then open the config.json with a notepad... Inside you will find:

    "peers": {
        "list": [
            {
                "ip": "40.68.214.86",
                "port": 8000
            },
            {
                "ip": "13.70.207.248",
                "port": 8000
            },
            {
                "ip": "13.89.42.130",
                "port": 8000
            },
            {
                "ip": "52.160.98.183",
                "port": 8000
            },

Those are all official nodes. Its safe to use them.

So I decided to trust this, since it seemed obvious. It says 3 times it has sent the coins but when I log in again they are still there, guess I got screwed. GG.

Thats lag. Try another one.

Be smart and just think about it..
Why would anybody DDoS login.lisk.io? it's not for free...
Let's speculate for a little bit:
What if DDoS attacker got a large amount of ico coins, what if he setup a node or use a official node listed in config.json from linux binaries and right after launch he use one of those to send his coins to poloniex.
Where he (obviously) can sell it at pretty nice price (0.002 atleast). Then he (or they) continue with DDoS so they give a "noobies" users reason to FUD and it become real = web wallet don't work.
This allow him or them, drive price so low as its now, and they can easily rebuy now with xxtimes profit. They just need to wait to price go up with main pump (there surelly will be one)..
Use brain if you don't sell till now, don't sell, it's not going much lower anymore anyway. Lowest double bot is max around 30K (if even so low). Wait few weeks and sell then after price stabilizate   Cool

I was one of the luckiest and manage to sell on 0.0017. But i rebuying as much as i can, right now.  Wink

lisk team shouldn't block customers access to their coins at this moment

Nothing is blocked at the moment, you can at anytime install the client and have access to your LSK.

I want to have a rational discussion here.  Is this really your story:

We didn't anticipate a DDOS attack, even through it's quite common, especially with a big competitor to the major coins? We know only a very small portion of people use Linux, so we decided a Windows wallet wasn't needed. Also, as LiskHQ said, just install Linux. Smiley We decided not to have a working docker file with correct instructions. We didn't have the proper redundancy in place even though this was one of the largest ICOs.

Is this really your story?

Stuck trying to move $LISK?

Use this WORKING wallet mirror: http://107.170.93.237:8000

TIPS appreciated - LISK 14007737956546258989L or BTC 1A5zBffD75H2kFo4F147xTg6FKvkfZ6Znx

Both Mac and Docker did not work for me so i stood this up for the community on a linux server. I'll keep it up for 24hrs hopefully DDOS will be over by then. Takes about ~40min for a tx to show up on Poloniex. Use at your own risk, no support provided, and all that jazz.
