Yep: in crypto, cloning is the sincerest form of flattery.
But seriously: those clones won't affect Lisk because the crypto space is slowly maturing. (Okay, becoming less immature.) Big-money folks tend to pick quality over the also-rans. In crypto land, the "moat" is the network effect. if a crypto's NE is stable, it's all-but unkillable. Cf. Litecoin, Dogecoin.
Even if Ethereum becomes the go-to blockchain-application cryptocurrency, there's still the 85-15 rule. Back in tha day, this rule played out in personal computers. Most folks used Windoze, but Apple's fanbois were as hardcore then as now. A lot of them wouldn't use a PC even if they got it free: they were the minority in the desktop world, but they were strong & fanatical. And look at what that fan base has done for Apple! Once they clicked with iPod & smartphones...
If LSK "merely" becomes the Apple of blockchain applications, it'll be one helluva world-shaker. And it does have a real shot at that, given the enthusiasm of all the Liskbois here.
