The fact is that this delay is hurting US, the investors. There are a few points about the delay that were not handled professionally.
First, making an announcement 5-6 days ago that the release date would be announced today is childish. I am sure the devs knew at that point they needed to delay and should have made the announcement at that time.
Secondly, 1 delay for unforeseen problems is expected but needing 2 separate 1 month delays shows that the team wasn't ready when the ICO was started and the ICO should have been delayed. What is happening because of the multiple delays is that people will both lose interest and lose patience, which directly affects the investors but not the team. Remember that the ICO value has increased 10+% with the bitcoin value increase while our LISK certainly has not increased in value with 2 lengthy delays and I would bet it has devalued considerably.
LOL. Another delay!
5 days ago dev announced that april 24 he announced lisk date release for april end.
Yesterday he wrote that the announcement was made in the middle of the night.
At the end, the announcement was "another delay"
SO UNPROFESSIONAL!
He already knew yesterday or 5 days ago that another delay shoud happen, why just not tell us before?
Lot of investors have lose interest.
Good luck.
It's quite unreasonable to expect perfect results in every step of the way. Max has done an excellent job in staying honest and providing as much clarity as possible.
Also, stating that we knew 5-6 days ago that it was going to get delayed is a BIG assumption. The internal testing was going great, until.... it didn't. The final tests proved to be the threshold; final tests were yesterday. Oliver gave it his all, pouring 12+ hours daily in trying to get it ready for today's announcement, but there wasn't enough hours in a day to provide the fix.
As the community manager, by all means, feel free to spin this the best way you see fit. It's your right. Augur did it right, not only allowing early token trading but even helping to initiate the trades. Protect the people that actually paid for your jobs.
As for the excuses about the money being locked up, I call BS. Are you telling me you can't hire an army of coders that understand that there's almost 6 million in the escrow. All you would need to do is offer above market rate when the escrow is released.
It is what it is, I just wanted to share my frustration.
