I'm in Factom since it hit Polo and I did much research about it. And Factom is absolutely my number 1 and the best project I currently know (in my eyes better than ETH), but what I also know is this: It did not get that much attention and their ICO wasn't a big success. That's the reason why the total supply is pretty low (the ICO was kind of a decision about the total supply), so it started with a low marketcap and stayed at a low marketcap until december. Than there were a lot of good news and it finally got the attention it deserves and would have deserved right from it's start.

What I want to say with that: The situation here is different. Lisk will start with way more of attention but also at a higher marketcap. Factom's price went down because of the low volume in the first two months and the team was never focused on the usual Investor but on deals. And, maybe the biggest difference: It seems hard to understand for a lot of people why Factom has so much potential. Lisk's business model is more an "eye-catcher", easier to understand on first sight.


And just by the way: In general it always seems as if the price would go down after an ICO but very often it's not really true because it always starts clearly above ICO-price on exchanges. If I remember it right, ETH never went below ICO-price while it seemed as if the price would go down after the launch.


What I expect is: The price could drop but the volume won't be too low and I believe that some who thought about buying into the ICO stepped back and bet on the chance to get it cheaper on the exchange/s. I'm in both positions. I bought some in the ICO but I'm ready to buy more if the price should go down and if I'm convinced to see longterm-potential. I'm new to this and wasn't aware about Crypti so I'm still in the "research-phase". ;-)

Yes, as I think a lot of people thinking the same. My funds 50% is in the ICO already, and another 50% just waiting for the dump. Just think about it if half of the investors follows the same strategy.

I'll set my buys at 20% of ICO.  I'll be paying a premium at that rate but I want in, so that's just the cost of doing business

I probably would pick up at 50-70% of ICO price but I won't be the first to buy but watch the trend at first.
I set a limit on what to spend on the ICO and reserved the same amount for post-ICO.

Why? If price goes up, there's no need to buy extra Lisk and if price goes down, it's "free" Lisk.

By scaring away investors (or donors) you may think you protect your share of Lisk but actually you hurt it.

Every BTC that comes in for development and developers, PR, traveling, closing deals, (great!) tutorial videos, etc. means your ROI will be better over time.

Would you really wait with your 50 BTC until it drops there? ;-)

With Eth people had trouble claiming their coins at the beginning because the wallet wasn't simple for noobs. the confirmation times were also slow as hell too, which kept it from dumping insanely at the beginning. With lisk it might dump insanely as soon as it hits the exchange lol who knows. Will be cool to watch and see what happens.

If you want to compare lisk with something, then with eth. Look at the volume of eth at the beginning. Everyone set a high price but noone bought it, because everyone had bought already at ICO. Thats why it could only go down to ICO price. Then people didn't want to sell any more.
From there it could grow over time.
Only very few coins were sold at those high prices at the beginning.
It will be the same with lisk...
